From what I remember Spec Ops didn't have any gore to it, but I just played the demo a long time a go. Also never heard of Manslaughter (and googling it didn't provide any real results).Spec Ops: The Line and Dying Light are two dark, gorey games. The linear military shooter and the co-op zombie freeroam, both great games in their own right, both boasting some brutal blood effects and sick little details in the environment. Both rich in story too. I think they would make for entertaining reviews, and they're new enough to net you some views.
Also, Manslaughter 1 is still the most globally banned game I think, due to its content and the time period it came out. There were some badass ways to kill people in that one. There was also an old Painkiller game where I remember feeding a guy into a circular saw or something. Was pretty good. Just some ideas to think about.
From what I remember Manhunt isn't that gory, it nailed the animations and sounds aspect (intense executions) but every other aspect was 'meh' at best.Yep, Manhunt, that's the one. The second Manhunt wound up censoring all the kills because the first one was so banned that they didn't make any money off it. Spec Ops isn't overly gorey but there are some nice, grisly melee finishers and the blood spatter from guns is nice. It gets progressively gorier and desperate as you near the end. Also, what about Postal 2?
Well, it looks kind of ridiculous when the animations are that intense but there's hardly any wounds on the body and the environment is clean.Ok, well now I understand you're looking for actual GORE, not just plain old violence. Viscera Clean Up Duty maybe? Lols.
I remember that game, definitely goes on to do listJaws Unleashed had some pretty good gore!![]()
I got a really long to do list, don't see myself running out of material any time soon (got a few ideas for video articles that aren't related to gore reviews). Watched a gameplay vid of that, the disappearing blood and bodies really looks like a huge buzzkill. If you're running out of material Metal Gear Rising : Revengeance might provide something for a short video. You can chop someone's legs off before slicing the body into 256 pieces with some blood splatter assuming it doesn't despawn first, or off with the head, then hands and then the other leg or whatever you fancy. Other than that it's fairly limited on gore department.
I'm getting that as soon as its availableHave you ever heard of Killing Floor 2? I'd do a vid on that one.
I dig it actually. It's not for everyone though.State of Decay is such a **** game though. I played like 20 minutes of it then wondered why I spent my money on it without doing more research.
