If anyone is interested i have some Google+ invites (google has a tendency to disable it on occasions!)

Not really into social networking myself, being a 47yr old miserable ****, but the 'circles' (groups) is pretty nifty, you can post stuff so only certain groups see, so mother/father/sister/bruv/auntie etc dont see the photo of you drunk and naked tried to a tree!

Once you have an invite you should be able to invite others, all i ask is that you give a few invites to this community if required.

Once you get your head around it, it really is pretty clever, i have 'circles' for Family, Friends, a couple of gaming clans i have/do play for, co-workers. Now if my son worked with me and played games you could put him all of the circles or just Family.

Simple interface but clever, the android app allows photos to sync to a circle(s) of your choice.

I might be taking a look at this sooner or later, but I dunno if anyone I know will even be using it. ._. Especially after the alternatives we as a group, use. Sounds a little bit better than Facebook already, anyway! I doubt there'd be people from my old high school that I don't like trying to add me on it.

I'm not good at that kind of social network, like Facebook and Twitter, since I don't have much to say and most of my friends just post stupid stuff with stupid replies. TWI forums, Bioware Social Network and Orkut are the only ones I like at the moment

your both right,
i am not a 'social network' type....BUT i have a few groups of online friends/clans who i can post different stuff too with the aid of 'circles' and not bombard or be bombarded with rubbish like 'i had toast for breakfast'

I have heard the 'Hangout' video stuff is well done, several ppl video conferencing at once.

It is quite clever....if you fancy it at some point just pm me your email (or get one just for this) and i shall invite you.

I remember when my then girlfriend was being *****y and I found out she was mad because I had been 'ignoring' her on facebook. This was after we spent 6 days during the past week together.

I think social network sites are useful as a tool but beyond that are so aggravating.

I hate social networking, especially because it's not really social.
I get a beer and cycle to my fiends for my social activities.

The only thing I get from joining facebook and hyves (dutch alternative) is spam mails from 'friends' although I hated them with all my heart and annoying 'this said that about that picture and other friend left a comment..' I don't care!

Just scrambled my accounts since I have no idea how to remove them.


But to be honest, it sounds easier and less annoying with the circles feature

me too tbh, but i like keeping in with mates i have made through gaming, bear in mind im 47 so the age group is 30-60ish (yes old, poorly sighted, reaction less men do play!!)
so its unlikely they will tell me they 'had sausage for tea' or 'i feel sad'

just a nice way to keep in contact with some top guys.
