Ok, so i have a slight problem...

i bought red orchestra, and then i liked it so much that i bought it for a friend of mine...

he didnt like it much tho, and i thought id give it to another friend, but since my friend (the first one i gave it to) activated it, does this mean i have to buy a completely new game for my other friend or can i still give it to him somehow?

From my understanding, you would either have to buy another copy, or get your first friend to give his account which that copy of RO is locked into.

wow... oh well... one less RO player i guess... cos im sure as **** not gonna go out and buy a third! copy of the game...

EDIT: one would think that it would be possible somehow to "unlock" the game from one account to be used on another... for example if you yourself want to change your account for some reason...
oh well... thats steam for ya... not my favourite method of "gamesecurity"

Steam is the problem here not RO, if i where in your shoes i would google and see if anyone has contacted a valve employee and asked for a special execution for example, one might be able to if you said that your third friend didnt even have a steam acount until now(they would love that, another person to bombad ads on to)

Been there, tried that. Steam/Valve won't budge.

Your friend should have 2 guestpasses to give away though; he can give one to your other friend.

If he ends up liking it, he can just buy it himself :)

really? cos i dont have any guest passes and i dont see why he would have them...

anyway... i ugess steam/valve will have to blame themselves then... cos im not gonna reccomend my friend buying a new game just cos i cant give the one i own to him...
