Hello all, and welcome to my first Killing Floor tutorial: Giblets Made Easy. This tutorial will help you get the following Achievements:
Experimentilimillicide (kill 1,000 Specimen) - Doing this tutorial 2-3 times
Experimentilottacide (kill 10,000 Specimen) - Doing this tutorial 20 or so times
It's What's Inside That Counts (Turn 500 Specimen into Giblets) - Doing this tutorial 1-2 times
Quarter Pounder With Ease (Turn 5 Fleshpunds into Giblets) - Doing this tutorial 1 time
The L.A.W. That Broke the Camel's Back (Deliver the killing blow to the Patriarch with a L.A.W. Rocket) - Up to you
Achievement hunting isn't always liked but since some people want tutorials on how to do these, I'll be here to provide. So, onwards with the tutorial!
For this tutorial you will need to solo, on Hard, kf-fortin. This is a really simplistic whitelisted map. At the center of the map is a building which spawns with a L.A.W. as well as other weapons. Not only that, but there's only one way any specimen can get to you, and you can weld off that area for a time. So, this is an ideal map for the above Achievements.
Every round start off by welding the fence shut to 100%. This will pretty much always hold off for at least 10 seconds.
Next run inside and grab the L.A.W. Rocket Launcher off the table.
Head upstairs and camp on the corner. This overlooks both the fence and the only ladder up to the roof.
When the specimen start to come, either shoot them once or twice the the L.A.W. or throw a few grenades. You can easily kill 10-20 of them here. And since you're by yourself, the waves are never larger than 50.
One aspect of this location is that the Specimen can sometimes get stuck below the ladder. So while unfair, you can use the this your advantage.
And that's pretty much it! Since you solo this, every Specimen, including Fleshpound's, has very little health. You can easily kill a Fleshpound with two L.A.W. rockets, even on Hard difficulty. The Patriarch might be a bit more tough, so you'll probably want to lower the difficulty for that Achievement. Other than that, though, everything else can easily be done in Hard mode on this map.
Just remember to drop down each round and swap your L.A.W. for one with more rockets, and buy more grenades, armor, etc. If you get to wave 11, you should have killed around 450 Specimen. Sometimes more, sometimes less. Most of them will have been turned into gibs.
