Do you believe in them?

I personally don't, but I am scared of the unknown and of something I can not see because I hate to be open to an attack (for example, my pc is in the living room, against a wall with my back facing every door, when I'm all alone I look behind me every minute or so), but I guess that's just instinct. And that's what I think is causing all these "sightings".
There is this reality show on BBC2 or 3 about regular people who are "forced" to go ghost hunting. AFAIK it's all about the atmosphere and instinct. If I would stand in a dark house alone and I would hear something in the same room I am in I would freak out and say there is something there. But that's just instinct saying I should get out of there because I am open to an attack of something unknown. I would start to see things when the atmosphere is tense, especially when I would have a flashlight.

Look if God intended for some of us to be 'ghosts' then there would have beeen extremely conclusive evidence by now!

Just like its now conclusive that all claims of The Loch Ness Monster & bigfoot have been complete hoaxes, so should you take all claims of ghosts or poltergiests to be complete hoaxes!!

I believe (and Im a Christian) that when you die, God has no use for your soul in Heaven. So to go against what the Western Church teaches, Heaven & Hell is right here on Earth!

If you have been an evil git, you will pay the price right here on Earth! If you've been nice, then you will reep the rewards right here by living a cushy life depending on your past obviously!

The reason I dont beleive in Hell, is because why should I who has lead quite a sinful life, share the same fate as Hitler for example who killed 6 million Jews & minorities?? Or anyone truly evil?

If Im gonna end up in Hell for my petty sins I might as well make it worth my while lol but obviously I cant be anymore of a sinner cos I havent got it in me!!

So no there's no such thing as ghosts!

Ghosts are spirits, mostly former human beings.
They can never harm you physically, but they can use your own fear to "make you do things" you would normally not do.
For instance my wife sees them all (so can your own pets like cats) and she saw my father on his own funeral standing in the corner watching it all.

It seems most in here don't believe in them (for various reasons). It always makes me smile when people say they dont exist because they have never seen them ^^

Covering your back is something my former martial arts teacher also practised in restaurants. It's a thingy for that profession I guess
