is it not possible for you to set it as an option to have these details removed? because i've had no lag issues whatsoever on my pc and i dont really want my graphics decreased if it's possible ;(.

As i said my game just run fine before the patch, i bought RO not only for graphic but you will understand that i'm sad to not having the choice...
"The choice" is what make me prefere PC than console, please get the details back
Stop listening some grumpy people, i really love this game it's one of the best multiplayer FPS game, we all know Tripwire is working hard. Having a patch per day is awesome, don't over react

I don't get it, why is it that we are in 2011, we have videocards that far exceed one teraflop? We have fancy techniques like umbra occlusion culling.
And yet we are still not able to render a few bricks on the ground with the excuse of being absolutely necessary.
I must be quite uninformed of what goes through the mind of a game developer. What am I missing here?

Lol, true. I do my fair share of technical whining, but the reality is they are using a licensed engine, which they have moderate control over - but not complete - and they are attempting to get it to run on a plethora of hardware and software. That is no easy feat. Add to that the fact that very few of the people here probably have an optimized and healthy system (how many of you done a clean driver update? when was the last time you defraged? what psu are you using and with what gpu?...)

Yeah, I hope this ends up being an Ultra or High setting at least. Without the bricks to break up the curvature of the terrain, the building ends up feeling empty.

I agree, it is a huge difference. I just hope it is a temp solution as some of us do have high end rigs that run RO2 fine

I wanted to say that the game runs fine to me because i have a clean installation, and i'm sure most of ppl complaining about the game didn't update correctly there drivers...

Some of us have well performing PC's and are getting crap for FPS anyhow.
I don't want them removing detail either though. I'd rather my PC's power get utilized by the game instead.

I agree it should be a Ultra setting. They could even hide it in the config files if they are so afraid of people with 5 year old rigs turning it on by accident. I think once the CPU bug is fixed there are going to be a lot of people with good machines able to bump it up to Ultra an wanting that kind of detail back.
