And remember the argument for doing it?

"Its in the game. The Dev's put it there, so it must not be an exploit."

will those be replaced or will they stay like that? if they stay as is, then how will they match up with the 3rd person animations (which are already look to be in) that show weapons being held in one had?
Brian, your topic here gives me the opportunity to raise the held-weapons animation issue again (something I brought up before the recent convention previews).

The first was the unnatural left-hand-hold of the rifleman in this screenshot:

And the second a mantling animation of the rifleman in this shot, which would seem to need to have his arm-grip reversed (to the right hand).

These screenshots point to the possibility for some additional refinement to what we've seen as some very sharp previewed animations already (just some niggles that might get some polishing yet.

yeah I too noticed that first picture when I saw it earlier and the odd hold of that k98. While I can hold my own yugo m48 ( k98k ) like that, it is much more comfortable to hold it midweapon about where the sights are.

for the second picture I would imagine the most comfortable way to hop the wall would be like the second man is doing with the smg. isntead of planting the weapon down into the low wall.

It becomes significantly LESS comfortable to hold the rifle at the balance point after you've fired 8 or 10 rounds.

I'll get back to you later today after I try that.. :)

I guess you mean holding the chamber of the weapon, understood there, however the k98 is mostly covered in wood. It's easy enough to hold it just forwardward of the sights or over the bolt. Or It would be more comfortable to hold the weapon angled down more then the shown piccie.
