Maybe those badges are the only thing you can customize. Although customize would suggest an active form of changes:rolleyes:

Also shouldn't the General Assault Badge go through around the eagle??

I also noticed theres no Swastika.

How many countries in the World ban the Swastika? I don't really understand why they are banned in games? I'm not being a Nazi here but I still prefer things to be Historically Correct. Also things like SS get banned too.

Germay and Austria is where it's banned for everything but Religious symbols (For Hindu's it's the sign of peace) and for educational purposes, Hungary it's all totalitarian symbols that are banned (including the hammer and sickle and the red star) , Poland any public display of the swastika and other than Brazil the rest of the world where it isn't a symbol for peace or wealth it is frowned upon to be included. So in reality not many countries actually ban the swastika but no one likes to see it in games.

To be honest. I've never seen someone complain about having Swastikas in games, I just think it's a bit to kinda bend the looks abit by replacing the symbol.

But what the hell. I'm sure that there will be some playerside mod that replaces them with Swastikas like Dods did.

You haven't played black ops have you? It's the perfect example on when the swastika gets into the wrong hands

Oh god. I can imagine. But come on, I can safely say that the RO community are mostly mature gamers who like to play realisticly. I'm sure no one would actually have problems with it in RO but I guess it's not my decision to make and should stop whining like a *****. (I'm going to soalk in the corner now)

That's rather small, are the badges going to be scaled up in-game or will they be left barely noticeable?

At least so a sniper can see it.
Or don't we get more points for shooting veterans?
They would be more dangerous on average for your team

As much as I would like to see swastikas on the German medals, the size of them in game will make such a detail unnoticeable. Really nothing to worry oneself about.

Beta testers should receive the Wound Badge for getting beat up by the devs :p

Wait... hang on... these medals are visible in game? As in while actually playing? Seems a little silly to me. I'm guessing it would involve extra bandwidth to notify all the clients of everyone's badges etc, and seems to offer nothing at all to the game, IMHO.

Extra bandwidth? Hardly.

Several games use similar customization and it doesn't affect netspeeds or anything at all.

I think the badges might just be an "achievement" thing that shows up on your stat page or something. That's even more pointless to me than having it visible in game, imo.

if it was an achievement, it would just be one....why get the same **** twice....

we have uniform customization it seems....either that, or when the game finally downloads, we get special skins with them on it...

I don't really mind Swastikas not being on the medals because like you said you wouldn't see it anyway. But what I don't like is the Iron Cross on flags instead of the Swastika. It just looks wrong.

It's kind of like all the 'Nazis' on the BIA Furious Four trailer with the Iron Cross on their armbands. Was I the only one that found that funny?
