So now all you will need is moveable objects or for mappers to leave a chair by every window. While precariously balancing on a chair with a 2m long gun may with help of an assistant be feasible but it's still a ludicrously dangerous thing to do. I suppose this gets onto another point. I hope the PTRS requires an assistant to help move the thing around.

You have a point about maintaining balance on a chair with the recoil. How about a table or desk?

And no, I'm not suggesting every window have a setup like this. Not every corridor in ROOST has a barricade, but some do. It could be a prepared position, as with Pavlov's house. Mappers discretion.

I doubt we'll see a dedicated PTRS support role, as we didn't see one for the MG in ROOST, and TWI said they did that on purpose, because it's a relatively boring role.

PTRS just like PTRD was a weapon, that one man could somewhat easily move around. Ofcourse it was still cumbersome. But the assistants job with PTRD was to carry ammo and to reload the gun, while the gunner fired the gun. And same goes for PTRS, allthough it being semi-auto. Still the assistant carried the ammo and helped to load the gun. And in both cases the assistant was also a spotter. So assitant would be nice, but the assistant was not needed to move either of the guns. On long marches they ofcourse did help the gunner to carry it. But we don

Its true you can carry a PTRS/PTRD by yourself, I could quite happily carry one from one end of a field to the other. But could I run or even trot with it, through ruined houses and open spaces that look like the face of the moon? I am not sure I would get very far, well not without falling over on lose earth or rubble every few feet. There is some famous Russian footage (I am sure you have all seen it) from Stalingrad. I had a look but couldn

The haft-hohllandung or magnetic tank mine is in Company of Heroes. So yes it has been implemented in a game.
