There not better, whey are different. If do not go into details of ballistics - 5.45 have greater velocity, but it tends to ricoсhet easy, 7.62 got more penetrating power.Whats better for AK's? 7.62x54 or 5.45?

Good luck finding one in x54.

It is just a Romanian PSL cut down with normal AK furniture. A PSL is the rifle on the top (not to be confused with the SVD below it, completely different rifle):
Yeah, I know what a PSL is. It's similar to an AK, but it isn't an AK. It's a PSL.
... which reminds me, there's a store near here that had one a bit ago, wonder if they still do ...
Anyway, next question: I know that I'd prefer a nice Rem 870 over a cheapo Mossy 500 ... but now I've got some interesting choices:
1. Big 5 special Mossy 500 combo (18" and 28" barrels) - $379
2. Big 5 special Benelli Nova (not Supernova, not tactical) - $379
3. Used Rem 1100 semi auto - $400-500
I'm looking primarily for a cheapish shotgun. I might or might not hunt with it, it'll probably be mostly for 3-gun and "oh crap, I heard something bump in the night."
Input?

Looks very much like the one I shot at the local range. C:
How can you even have something like that in Britain?
My wife shot a youth model 20ga semi-auto Rem 1100 back when we were doing the sporting clays circuit. Hers was pretty finnicky. Toward the end of a day of shooting it tended to hang shells on eject. Especially with reloads (even with AA shells). Once cleaned and oiled there was no problem. I will have to say though, that it had virtually no recoil (probably why it hung so much), and was/is fun to shoot.Yeah, I know what a PSL is. It's similar to an AK, but it isn't an AK. It's a PSL.

Does the 500 combo come with screw in chokes? (if that matters to you).
Don't know anything about the Benelli Nova. A lower end of the Benelli line? $379
I hate pump guns. I failed with them as a kid...lol. Haven't touched another. Just give me an over and under (or an old fashioned side by side)....![]()
You can own ARs and AKs there.
... if you like bolt action versions.

I've seen and used a few semiautomatics, actually.
No love for the AN-94?

This thing is my apocalypse weapon of choice. When using the 2-shot burst, this thing has virtually no recoil because the barrel is mounted on a spring which absorbs the force of the recoil generated by the two shots (which is still minimal due to the lightweight 5.45mm round it uses).
Are normal people actually allowed to own a semi auto rifle there?

Sadly, no. At least not right nowCan you get a civilian legal version of that?
Yes, that is true. I think the recoil comes from the barrel springing back to its original position after the rounds are fired. But from a tactical standpoint, recoil after the rounds are fired is, in essence, no recoil at all because you've already fired your two rounds before the gun moves at all.I thought it had recoil but it was designed so you didn't feel it until both shots had been fired.
