Since I am hopefully going to have improved vehicles in game, I was thinking of a way to use them, which would balance out the game between the specimens and the cars and my idea is a new game type:
Daylight Robbery
Very large map, where everyone starts off in the compound, with very, very little ammo and a Nuclear device counting down from 3/4 minutes.
Located around the map are banks, a hospital and at the furthest part of the map is the trader.
You do not earn money for killing specimens!!
You have at you disposal, a truck, a helicopter and a couple of cars.
The idea of the game is, to purchase ammo/weapons, you will need money and to get this, you will have to (as a team) locate a bank and break into the safe (100% welded door), where you can then go on to the trader and buy (limited) ammo/weapons.
The helicopter will only be able to land on either the top of the banks or the trader roof and the compound, so he is your eye in the sky and will protect you as you travel through the destroyed city.
Once you have reached the trader, you can purchase weapons and fend off the specimens so the helicopter pilot can come down and purchase weapons.
You will then need to get back to the compound and reset the clock on the nuclear device, otherwise everyone dies and game over!
If you get hurt during the game, you will have to find the hospital for first aid. (remember the clock is ticking on the bomb)
If anyone starts whilst the game is in play, they will have to wait for the next wave as per usual but the team must get back to compound before the new person starts, otherwise they are going to be alone and in imminent danger, with very little ammo to protect them.
I thought this may add a true Team based element to the game as you will all have to work together to
a: get money
b: get weapons
c: stop the bomb
d: survive
