Source and "announcement" previously made here

or, if you are going to GamesCom/GDC Europe, you can see a Beta version of the game in Hall 6.1 booth 52a/b. You will also be able to play it on the Tripwire booth at PAX in Seattle.

unfortunately the quoted isn't talking about ROHOS, but a new game TW will be publishing called Dwarfs. ;)

so this will probably be one of the "other ventures" TW will be discussing this week at the 1C booth and later at PAX. the one reason why i wanted to note this is because of what it could mean for the possibility of ROHOS being cross platform......this game Dwarfs will be available for both PC and XBOX360 and TW (at least how it's read) will be publishing it for both platforms.

would this mark TW's first game published for a console and first published PC/console multiplatform game? additionally, if they are starting to branch into "console land" with this game, could it be because they are testing the waters for other games to go crossplatform in the future like Killing Floor or ROHOS? if they really are publishing the game for XBOX360, then does that mean they already possess the ability to publish games for consoles?

discuss.....

ah.......zets i overlooked those specs on that hire  i keep forgetting that TW doesn't like to make big deals about their new employees, like how they've still yet to mention the latest hire of two months ago :D

that's interesting about the team for the Dwarfs will have other booth space then, although i still bet TW will through in a word or two about all the new "casual" games they're going to be publishing. the hire of somebody with experience in consoles was definitely a sign, but i think the announcement that TW is in the process of publishing a game for a console has more impact as it shows they're already capable to make it happen. either way the point is that the likelihood of ROHOS going crossplatform is pretty good.

possibly.......maybe Dayle could comment :D

I would like to see everyone enjoy the game on the latest consoles that would be superb for those wanting something like this. I think they would see a nice spike in sales especially if they could lower the price point from the industry standard of $60 for a new game.

Could the PS3 run a huge tank map though even with all the HDD space and BR disk?

I think the problem for the consoles will be mostly ram and cpu related.

Hope tommorow untill this time we will have some sort of news... even some semi-confirmed roumors.

And as much as I would like TWI to stay away from consoles it really is a good investement for all companies, just as long as they do it so it has a future and not just to rip off some money from the many uninformed/extremelly casual console players.

Its the general hardware that is the issue indeed, and that the majority of console owners still uses an SD television or games at the couch at long distance.

Big open PC maps the hardware might not be able to handle, huge player amounts with bullet drop etc. going the same.

not really. The only result is to lose your fanbase, to sell a product in a market that don't do profit for indipendent.
