I think this time it's NOT a static mesh...

and i thing this time it actually IS a static mesh for deco propose.

they said the Pz III was a static mesh but i thing it was the static mesh the actual tank class would use... i mean a brand spanking new tank for deco in a destroyed environment? pretty strange.

Because our new fire effect looks pretty :D

fire look cool but those cornflake like sparks are bit huge and lack variation imo.

That burning T-34 looks beautiful! Wicked texturing on that metalic beauty (and the fire is a vast improvement over RO:O of course!)

Picture 2 is actually my favorite, but it would look much better w/o the 2D twigs dangling in at the top of the frame IMHO.

Pic 1... One of those Germans is getting owned:p hehe. But seriously, those animations look pretty sweet.

That tank might look destroyed but that truck in the back ground isn't on fire. It would be weird to place a seemingly untouched truck just for decoration. The same truck used in the mod and used on custom maps in ostfront.

I hope they would not do the same thing that was done in RO:Ost as there is huge amount of cover without any rhyme or reason on every street or alley you can imagine.

I semi agree - but if it's an area that's already been the focus of an attack/defense then people would have placed all sorts of **** everywhere.

Defensive positions like sandbags or small entrenchments (or simply rubble from damaged buildings) are another story as usually their placement in RO:Ost (especially in custom maps) has been decent, while what I am referring to is the sheer amount of broken vehicles or such almost everywhere and it raises the question: when was the last engagement fought? Didn't the 'winning' side (especially if there's notable gap of time inbetween) attempt to recover their vehicles E.G. in the HQ square of Odessa? Was that Tiger just damaged by some aircraft, artillery shell or did it break down? Why they didn't recover it if they had time? What's up with the large amount of trucks? Did they try to use them as offensive combat vehicles (which is a big no-no, realistically) rather than just transportation ? Did they already take the area and got pushed back? Were they left there when the city originally fell to the germans and they didn't bother cleaning the roads? Why the Stuka has no dead pilot and reargunner in it as the whole canopy is still intact (indicating no-one bailed out) ? Why it is relatively unharmed considering it probably made quite a crash when it hit the ground? Just to name a few.

Odessa was just one example, as some other RO maps has also suspiciously convenient trucks and vehicles on very odd areas. If the map wants to simulate previous fighting or possible damage over the time (E.G. column moved and got strafed) just putting random stuff around in a way that makes you want to question were they all lunatic is not really a good thing.

The new screenshots are gorgeous, especially the new German player model. The detail and colour on them are amazing. You guys have a knack for making those shots look really dynamic, I hope all of those animations will be in multiplayer.

That first screenshots, what kind of rounds impact there? Grenades? Mortars?

Looking forward to some serious news from Gamescom.

I really hope it goes down well with press as well as that will help with bringing the game to the attention public at large.

Good luck to the TWI team attending...Give em Hell...:D
