[Game] Games about classical antiquity

Hi,
are there any good RTS games (or TBS) that take place during the classical antiquity? It's ok if they take place during other times as well if this era is still a major focus.
I don't care if the games are old as long as they run on Windows XP (with DosBox, if need be...) and as long as they have graphics...
I need something to hold me over the semester break.

Assuming you're talking about the strategy AI: Same old same old. It's hard-coded, from what I hear, so changing it is nigh impossible. Most mods including EB just go the dirty route and blow money up the AI's arses until they present a challenge against a starting-out-way-in-the-reds player.

Yes, Age of Empires... I spent many hours in this fine game.

What about the battle AI? I don't get why they can't have decent strategic AI... Civ did it

Its not as bad as in EmpireTW but its much better than in ShogunTW, sometimes the enemy really can causes you problems!

Here's an interesting turn-based strategy game that takes place during the Second Punic War. It plays like a more an advanced Risk. The interface is pretty cool too, they did a good job of replicating that look of a classical fresco or mosaic. There's a demo.
