Hi,

I'm new to steam and new to KF. Just downloaded it and I've been trying to play it for a few days but every time I start playing the game, the mouse is laggy. In the menu everything works smoothly, but as soon as I open a single-player game (like in abusement park) all the mouse movements get laggy. I've tried turning on mouse smoothing and turning it off, adjusting the settings and all but nothing changes. Any suggestions?

OS: OS X version Leopard 10.5.8, Snow Leopard 10.6.3, or later.
Processor: Intel Mac
Graphics: Nvidia or ATI GPU (Intel GPUs unsupported)
*NOTE I know nothing about MACS just PCS besides this is the system specs.*

I know what causes this.

I know what causes this.

Go into steam preferences, in-game tab and turn off steam overlay. The lag ceases.

By the way now that you have no access to steam, ctrl-opt-return will change to windowed mode so as to look at other programs.

I have known about this issue for a long time. It no longer works to fix the problem (Or is it a new problem?) Kernel task is balls-to-the-wall at 97-100% cpu usage. KF is 30% and this leaves half of one core idle. Clearly it's waiting on pid 0 for something it's not supposed to be getting, or at least not so often.
