I frequent GameFAQs and I can tell you immediately that there's no way it's gonna beat cult favorite Plants vs. Zombies and idiot favorite The Sims 3, unfortunately.

Gamespot is retarded and has no credibility. Plain and simple. This is one competition I don't care about at all.
Gamefaqs users would nerdrage at you. We typically hate any relationship with Gamespot, especially forum users.
Now, I'd take the time to personally nerdrage at you, but honestly I just don't feel up to it.
That said, Gamefaqs takes all kinds of degenerates, which is why the Sims is so bloody far ahead.

None taken. Ugh. A victory for rehashed EA shovelware, IMO, means a loss for the industry. However, it does appeal to a much, much wider demographic. But there's no excuse for that glitch-filled pile of crap that was Empire: Total War placing high, while Killing Floor, Arma 2, and Trine eacy got less than 4% each. They released it with naval battles as a key feature...with an AI that CAN'T BUILD BOATS AS YOUR OPPONENTS! At least Dawn of War II placed decently...
Their polls are not to be taken seriously, as about half the users "Vote for the worst", and the other half are hopeless fanboys of certain games (*COUGH* Finalfantasy *COUGH*) and won't vote on anything else.
The GameFAQs forums are awful in general, though. The Steam forums are bad. You have an almost un-moderated environment where people generally act like morons. People hear about that, and go to 'em because of that. The GameFAQs forums are more heavily moderated, so you'd think that they'd be less troll-filled, but they definitely aren't.
The GameFAQs forums have what may literally be the closest things to PROFESSIONAL trolls on the internet this side of Somethingawful/4chan, and they've been at it longer. We're talking users who have been on there 10-15 YEARS and learned to troll in a pretty heavily-moderated environment while getting away with it. These guys make Steam forum trolls look like chumps.
