RO2 Game wont start at all. HELP!!!

I love this game, and recently got a new laptop with a NVIDIA GTX950M card and am running Windows 10. I download the game and try starting, it asks if its okay to make changes to my laptop and i click yes, then a window pops up for like a second that says preparing first time setup then closes and the game does not start. I have already verified the cache and it says all files are there. Someone please help me!

Ive tried many "fixes" but nothing yet and have tried emailing tripwire but they never replied.

So is the game actually installed or does it crash when you are installing or just launching to play?

The game is actually installed. i have deleted and reinstalled many time but it does not help. The problem occurs when i try to launch the game.

There is a log file created in the MyDocuments/MyGames/RedOrchestra2 Folder. When the game crashes, see what is in the log at the very bottom. Depending on the crash, it might not records the error, but worth a try

i've actually already tried looking there but there is nothing related to red orchestra 2 in my documents, i looked everywhere in there and nothing.

Well that is odd...

The folder should be here:

This PC\Documents\My Games\RedOrchestra2\ROGame

i dont have any experience with Windows 10. But could this be the source of the problem? Files are installing to correct places?

ive checked online and people haven't had many problems with windows 10 recently. But i wouldn't doubt if it is causing a problem.

I run the game on (2) Nvidia 750M in SLI on a notebook with Widnows 8.1, so I dont think its any of your hardware. I know Scum has the game running on Windows 10. I will send him a PM and ask if he has this file structure or if it is different for him. These folders are also where you would install custom content and where SWS would download maps and things to your computer.

damn, well thanks anyway. Do you have maybe any advice? i've tried emailing tripwire but they never reply. i really miss playing this game. And also what problems did you have with windows 10?

With RO2 the main problem I had was with Punkbuster soiling itself, basically saying I had not got it installed on every server. Eventually got that sorted by a fresh install of it, but bar that I found RO2 worked fine under Win 10.
Really not sure what to advise actually.
