on all max settings @ 1440x900 I was only getting like 20 fps and my gpu and cpu usage were at 40%....will this be fixed?

I'm running maxed on everything but AA (High FXAA instead of Ultra MLAA) and am seeing between 35-40fps and nothing but buttery smoothness.

I'd say OP has another issue, although at times (such as the damn server browser) the game was pushing my CPU to near 40%.

Do you try the latest nvidia driver? 280.26. Maybe that's the problem.

I'm running a i7 @3.4 and a HD 6970.

It's running okay on everything high, but sometimes it dips into the 20's. I don't like this.

Especially seeing that my GPU usage never goes above 80%

Anyone know how to fix this?

it has to be an issue beyond just these fixes. I noticed a heck of a lot of people with decent computers are having a problem running this. I got terrible fps at certain points and my rig is halfway decent. I just dont get it. I could run the bf3 alpha at a constant 40 fps? so whats going on with this game.

I got it, it was just in my Steam/common/blabla/Ro2beta/binaries folder. Will try it later.

But as said above, there must be something going on, alot of people (including me) with good to top end rigs get subpar or horrible performance.

The game runs fine for me still tweaking the options though.

My spec:
AMD phenom 2 x4 @ 3200
6 gigs of 1333 ram dual channel
And a ati 4890 1 GB < might bottleneck a bit

I've run the UE3Redist file and it has improved my performance somewhat. I've had ATI driver issues with all the UE3 games I've played, ie getting such a game to use more than ~50% of my GPUs. If there is anyone that is having great performance with ATI cards what version drivers are you using?

Nah, 75% at the most.

Mostly it dips, giving me stutters.

I have the same problem! 100% GPU usage in the menu though!

Game runs smooth, like 45-70 fps depending on if im looking into a group of 30 guys or into the sky. Gpu usage never goes above 80% with med AA, ssao off, all else but shadows ultra. Hardware physics enabled too. Cpu never goes above 65%.
