I guess single player could be considered a great manual, there are lots of training missions in the german campaign that teaches you all of the basics. I personally don't remember a manual for RO1 anyways

A good manual for a quality game should be standard.

the boxed version of RO1 (maybe just the special editon) had even a chart with the best hitlocations for tanks.
something like this should be also included in the digital version, and of course for free...

Where is it!! The original RO had a good informative manual!

As literacy rates among gamers continue to plummet, and ADD continues to rise, manuals have become less and less common for any game. I wouldn't be surprised if no such document exists, although I'd love to read it if it does.

RO1 had a good manual (38 pages) and a great history and tactics guide (95 pages), Keyboard layouts for US, UK and Germany. Hopefully Tripwire will come up with the same for RO2.

There's already a topic on this. But still can we get a dev response here?

I'm not doing another 90-page strategy and tactics guide! There is a Quickstart lurking somewhere (for retail) that we can put up here. Maybe with a little more time, I'll write up something in between...

Mortars: smaller strike, lighter weight of explosives, quicker to get the next strike ready. Basically 81/82mm mortar support. High angle trajectory - handy for dropping into tight spaces.

Artillery: Medium (105/122mm) arty, heavier weapons, slightly longer between salvos and longer between strikes.

Rocket: Nebelwerfer/Katyusha battery firing - wide area splattered in one big salvo. Takes quite a while to reload.

That sort of thing?

Don't forget the proper rifle cleaning technique!
