Game is broken, I cant even play with friends

Ok, straight up, I like the game. Pity the servers are broken.

When I hit refresh with no filters and yes I have checked many times.

Let me say that again, NO FILTERS.

only about 80 servers are showing.

BUT!

About every 200 refreshes about 1000 servers are appearing, which sounds about right, because if only 10 people bought the game you would be broke right now.


Anyway, so your browser list is broken.

Also I cant create joinable games, either can my mates. When they make a server and even name is so its easily viewable it doesnt even appear.

When trying to join a mate through steam it doesnt work either, it just says the server is not responding or lists a server they are not even in, what the hell is with that?

So yeah, hurry up and patch it.

I thought it would at least be playable day one.

I like the game though.

Just dissapointed I cant play with mates.

Every other PC game I have and PS3 game works fine online.

Its just this game.

And Im not the only one.

It's Steam's server browser that's the problem. I have the same issue, but with all my Steam games. It's also intermittent and I've yet to find a solution to it.

hmm.. i jsut woke up this morning and started playing... it seems i can connect to all the servers this morning...

maybe it is hte .. "omfg the game is outttt" rush that caused all the connection problems yesterday...?

i do seem to have trouble hosting tho.. i hosted a listhening game and waited for a long time but nothing happened... i'm sur ei openned all the ports also...

I've submitted it incase there is something that can be done as it does show up ok for me in the steam server browser, i think it might cut connection before the entire list has been loaded.

about not joining your server is a firewall / router issue.

There is a port thread open them up or on your firewall put your ip on demilitarized zone when hosting. DMZ make sure that your firewall is not hiding things either.

Every single other game works.

Why the hell would I ever put my PC in a DMZ for 1 game.

Open up my PC to every virus in the world at anytime just so I can play Killing floor.

I opened up those ports and its not the problem.

The game is broken.

Viruses are not going to come flooding in! just put your firewall into game mode. unless of course you have a fail wall then disable it while playing the game. It doesn't hurt you, yea you know that viruses and what not are just going to come rushing in....NOT!, I don't even run a firewall! nothing has ever happened to me. Secured. and stop crying about the reloading system. Its a more realistic feature. Go play cod 4 if you want to change guns in a reload.

He's got a point though. Requiring us to put out PCs in the DMZ zone as a solution is not reasonable. I've never had to do anything for any other game...BF2, CoD 4, L4D, Wolfenstein, Crysis, DoW, DoW 2, TF2, RO, ...you name it....to get them to work. I've had to open more ports for KF than I have had to open for any game, ever.

While I'm not freaking out about it, because opening ports solved most of my issues, telling people to put their PC in the DMZ and not worry about it is flawed. The fact stands, we shouldn't have to reconfigure out router and network settings completely for one game. And we shouldn't have to completely open up our router to play either. TW needs to figure out the issue, and I have faith that they will in time. But don't insist that people have no reason to worry about putting their PC in the DMZ....because they do. And it's, at bare minimum, silly that KF should require them to do so.

If you have a router, You cant make a game period already tried this already forwarded my ports. And you guys definately over exagerate, its not a DMZ the world isnt going to end. You have to use a modem.

Seriously, requiring us to forward ports and do all this crap just to play a game with friends is utter crap.
