Every few minutes or so in game, I'll be walking and my game will lag. I'll still be able to move around, but after a second or so the game catches up.
The weird thing is, after this happens I'll be stuck and I won't be able to move for 2 or 3 seconds. I can try to jump or run, but I'll be stuck in the same spot for a few seconds. While I'm stuck I'm still able to see the rest of the game working perfectly but I won't be able to move. After a couple of seconds I'll be freed again and the game will continue normally.
This generally happens once every 5 minutes or so (this is a rough estimate). It's incredibly inconvenient, and is my main cause of death.

Also, when I'm playing on servers where my ping is higher, my walking speed is REEEAALLLY slow and incredibly jerky.

Does anybody know why this is happening? :(

EDIT: It seems to be similar to some of the last few posts on the first page in this thread:

Thanks in advance!

This happens to me occasionally in TF2 as well, I have no idea why.

Can nobody help me? Killing Floor is one of my favorite games and this bug is incredibly frustrating.

If you are using the Windows wireless client then that is likely to be the problem - it scans for networks every minute or so, which will cause very high pings. As Xienen says, if this is the case then you can use WLAN Optimizer (http://www.martin-majowski.de/wlanoptimizer/), or if you have the option you could try using your card manufacturer's client. I'd use WLAN Optimizer myself. You may have to tick streaming mode in the WLAN options

Thanks, Morello! That did the trick!
Sorry about the late reply though, I appreciate the help.
