hello,

since the new update its been impossible for me to even play 5min of KF without the game stopping completely. sometimes happens as i join a server, the perk effect text wont even scroll along or it just says at top 'awaiting server status', or it could happen minutes into a game, where everything stops then after 30sec i may see something move slightly, only to freeze again. any help will be greatly appreciated.

iv increased my cache size, defragged and verified game cache. still not working.

specs should be above recommended:

intel duo 2.66ghx
2gb ram
ati hd 2900 xt

do you need me to find out how much memory is being used by KF still?

thanks man. not sure if i did this right, i ran the game then brought up task manager. says mem usage is 286,456k. i then tried joining a game, which froze, and mem usage went up to over 1,000,000k.

for a test can you try setting every setting to low (i know you can handle it on high). But if it works then, there probably is some option in the menu that causes your issue. And then things can be turned on till you get it again.

When you changed to low, did you change the uhm, graphics renderer or whatever its called in the options menu?
Changing it from Dx9.0 down to just 'directX' fixed a couple of errors I had, while disabling a couple of graphical features.

I have about the same configuration as the OP.

I tried everything mentionned here and nothing has solved the problem.

There's something wrong with the new update that seems to affect people with higher end PC. I played before the update and everything was fine then.

Can both of you name the exact driver details for your videocard? And try updating to the latest version + latest version of directx ?

All my drivers are up to date.

Anyway...I know the problem does not come from my computer. Tripwire messed something up with the lastest update. I have no more time to waste with this until they recognize the problem and fix it.
