Game freeze/crash at every launch or when controller disconnects

I bought on epic store. The game is fine launching into game menu but after a few second the game loses sounds(still responsive) then completely freezes, it comes back to normal after 10 seconds or so and I can play normally but sometimes it doesn't (showing a loading screen when tab back to the game) and I have to kill it in task manager. Also this "freeze" happens too when my controller lost connection (happened 4 out of 4 times). I have already verified my installation and it still happens. Any ideas?

I can still load my save but the game still freeze when I appear at the grotto and it is more likely turn to a crash than waiting for the "freeze" to happen in menu>settings.

Okay... after a reboot all issues seems to be gone.

Ive been having the Same problem. Bought it on Epic and it ran okay. Managed to get to level 30 by chapter 4 and was way over powered but i cant play anymore after Starting chapter 7. Game crashes and i have to end task just to get it off my screen.....

23 days and still no fix for this, damn I guess I should refund this tech demo

This issue was fixed with the hotfix.
