[Error] Game doesn't start.

Today i bought and installed the game. When i am trying to play there is an error that 'rogame.exe has stopped working'. I've tried verifying the integrity of game cache, and also defragmenting cache files. None of the above worked. I've read to post some logs from MyGames/RO2 file but that file doesn't even exist at my Computer.

My PC configuration is:
Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 @ 2.8Ghz
GeForce GTS 250 with newest drivers
3GB of RAM OCZ Reaper @ 1066 Mhz
Windows Vista Home Basic 32bit

Please help me.

There should be a Documents\My Games\RedOrchestra2\ROGame generated when you install. I would double-check the installation, and try re-installing first.

After that one of the first places to start is to delete all the ini files inside of Documents\My Games\RedOrchestra2\ROGame\Config directory (don't worry the game will regenerate them).

Are you running any special monitor setup? What is your desktop resolution?

Are you crashing when launching the game or do you make it to the main menu?

Try this first, and if you still crash can you post your dmp file which should be in the Documents\My Games\RedOrchestra2\ROGame\Logs directory (post the latest one)?

I got the same thing going on

I played the game for around an hour and when i tried to play online i noticed there was punkbusters, i know i had issues with punkbusters before, so i turned i thought i turned it off, when i had actualy turned it on, so i turned it back off. After words my computer screen went blue and it restarted itself, and now i get the same error messege..how do i fix this?

Download and install and update pankbuster manually,

Give RO2 and punbuster permission in your firewall that should work.

I'm having difficulty running the game as well. There is an error message that says the game can't find the default engine.ini. I tried deleting the ini files but that didn't work, and it seems that the game doesn't regenerate them. I know, I checked.

Can anyone help me with this?

EDIT: I also noticed that the local game file size has been reduced from 8Gig to 5.2Gig. I uninstalled the game and am currently re-downloading it, but the game file size being re-downloaded is also 5.2Gig. Is this the right file size or is there something wrong with Steam?

me too. same problem. Worked fine till last night. It d/led an update and voila! no more RO2 for me. Just deleted and re d/ling the whole game.

Verifying the game cache integrity should do the trick.

I re installed the game, and i verified the integrity of game cache. Still same problem.
The game didn't generated RedOrchestra2 folder in Documents\My Games.
I am using basic Samsung T220 drivers, i use 1680x1050.
And the game crash itself when launching, i haven't even seen main menu.
And i cannot post logs because of absence of game files in Documents\My Games\RedOrchestra2\ROGame\Logs.

Hello there,

I got the same problem as many of you.

My game crashes every (!) time, I run the singleplayer!
And if I want to join Allies in the Multiplayer.

rogame.exe has stopped working

If I play Axis in the multiplayer, the game works.
But I'm not able to play singleplayer or Allies.

Please help me!

Im having the same problem, My computer is more then capable of running the game, but it keeps hanging up on the splash screen... I just bought it today and cant even get to the main menu... Ive tired at least 5 things ive found on the forums to try an fix it with no success... this is what my log shows.

I just bought this game yesterday and Im getting hung up at the splash screen, the task manager says unreal engine 3 is not responding... My computer is more then capable to run this game Ive tried so many different things that are posted on this forums. Has anyone figured out a full proof way to fix this? or is it just luck at this point?
