Firebug in WTFmut is boring beyond belief, and totally misses the point of the perk. Sure, have fire on the floor igniting specimens if they walk through it in its time or existance, but anything else, leave it out plz :)

What other changes did WTF Firebug have? The fire on the ground still igniting was the only thing I noticed. :confused:

I'm sure theses ideas are all great, I didn't read through them, but you see the great joy of making a mod or a map etc is to make your own dream come true.
If you have ideas of your own. Just get to bloody work! Make it yourself! (no hostility intended)

Well the Legend of Welda was cool, although it looked crazy funny when Zeds died to it. :)

Main difference was a massive ammo increase. Perk became able hose down everything on an almost perpetual basis, taking away any aspect of strategy the perk had. Basically like a M1+W Pyro in TF2.

WTFMut is an excellent Mod, but I treat it as a LoL mod, great for just having a lark around, but not something to have serious consideration to be implemented into the regular game. Some aspects are good ideas, but need a heck of alot of thought towards better balancing. :)

A nice idea, make 15 wave games whitelisted. Because sometimes you just don't want a game to end, or you want to see how long you can go before failure.
These extra 5 waves might make spamshooters and zerdics fail miserably :)

Or, perhaps a type of Survival mode. Where the number of waves is unlimited, yet the intensity of the specimens increases every wave. i.e. First wave is only clots, and it could get as bad as all FP's, the only problem I can see here is; where would the patty fit in? :confused:

That would end up in a grindfest. Find a decent exploit and then exploit it to the death. EX: Imagine the latest version of Departed(roof exploit) with infinite waves :eek: :(

Only allow 15 wave games or such on Official maps then?

And then use a modified Perk Mutator that will copy your perks levels into it's settings, or allow you to choose the perk level for levels that are not whitelisted.

An endless game mode would be awesome, but you would need to make sure the maps are exploit free. Like the official maps. They aren't exploit free, but they are pretty close. I don't know of any exploits on any official maps but then again, i don't go hunting them down either.

Dota-much? HoN maybe? or maybe some other MMORPG coz, these suggestions are pretty much something made for those type of games.

True new zeds/specimens would be more challenging and keep the game on fire, but from just reading your post, there's a lotta balance issues i can see from it,+ the amount of time, work, testing to actually implement them is probably gona be...uhmmm how should i say it...... valve/blizzard "soon" and most just deviate from the actual theme of the game. Not to mention KF has its limitations due to it being run on an older engine.

This aint some World of Warcraft shi!t, other than that, Two ideas are actually fine.

Such as the Earthshaker watever, shaking screen + decreased movement speed is something i'd like to see in KF, because this would enhance teamplay.
Playing "Lonewolf" or "Spam-Solo-B!tch" would be incredibly hard with a zed that distorts vision easily AND reduces movement speed ; hence survivability when alone. KF being an FPS game, unlike other games with disorient effects such as "shellshocked" or "flashbang" effects that make you go "oh sh1T sum1 effin help me!" pretty much gives a lotta people balls to go around and kill whore.
+ with this specimen, even as a team, wouldn't it be hard to aim at a raging fleshpoung with constant shakin screens and won't ya be ****ting your pants when you know you can't run away if this type of specimen is around? :p

Most of the ideas are pretty general and been posted up before + most of these ideas don't seem to consider the actual development workload such as;

How will such implementations affect the perk system? How will such implementations affect the current zed rooster? New coding,skins, animations etc, what happens when bugs arises? How are the current weapons effective against them? how are they gona react in comparison to other zeds, players and in maps? we don't want an "Earthshaker", assuming it being a big zed, get stuck in spawnpoints.

The current zed rooster is fine the way it is, just some buffs would be appreciated to keep it challenging, and of course, some balance issues with the perk system. Such as Jester's suggestions

- Stalker Buff
- Fleshpound headshot resistance
- Sharpshooter nerf
- Female Character models
- Nightmare mode (No achievements though please, I seriously CBA to do Bedlam on that)

+ an SS nerf

(really I don't see how anything that is good at wave 10 wouldn't be good at wave 15, unless you drastically change a whole lot of other stuff.)

I can't see a spamshooter beating 20+ FPs with scrakes blocking sirens, can you?

It'd be great to see an end to spamshooters :3

Oh, right, you mean the dumb players who do the annoying stuff because they don't know better rather than merely because and to the extent that it happens to be effective.

Yeah them. If it takes a spamshooter* a half a mag to a whole mag to kill a scrake or fleshpound, if we beef up how many there are then they'd fail; right?


*Spamshooter: someone that uses the M14EBR and rather than aim, clicks and keeps clicking until everything is dead.

I only meant to outline some similarities, have some laughs, point out some things, all while not acting like (hmmm...how would the patty put it? "A f*cking *sshole!").

I'm not acting all offended, only wondering what I did wrong.:D

However, the length thing was mainly due to the multi-quote function having some problems on my computer.

I noticed there were no girl characters in the character selection screen, thats not right. Girls can be soldiers too ya know!
