Those are some awesome map ideas guys! In response to Dawnbreaker, I hope they're making some British/commonwealth maps because we fought in some really cool battles. It wouldn't even be too hard to model their weapons, the lee-e field looks like a Springfield, Canadians used the Thompson sometimes, the Bren gun looks like the Japanese mg, and the Sten gun looks like the Japanese smg. The only problem would be new character skins. Awesome map ideas Bane5. And I agree that Rising Storm needs some bigger maps. Manila sounds interesting because of the multistory building urban environment. I hope the devellopers and some modders check out this thread.

Okinawa for a really atmospheric map..thinking about mud and rain. And Manila for a really big city map and intenst close quarters combat.
There really is a myriad of great potential map choices for both devs and modders alike due to the scale and diversity of the Pacific War. Though I think it's unlikely that we'll see anything other than Japanese/American maps for now, if all my dreams were fulfilled:
Kokoda Trail: Australians vs Japanese. Rain, mud, jungle, Aussies. What more could you want?
Okinawa: Americans vs Japanese. I know that someone is gonna make this one.
Attu: Americans vs Japanese. Arctic conditions for the Japanese and Americans
Singapore: British. some urban combat and a river crossing
Wuhan: Chinese. This was a huge engagement involving over a million troops
Khalkyn Gol: Soviets. More open terrain along with tank combat
Changsha (1941): Chinese. would have the Chinese on the defenseive
Corregidor: Americans. Would make for a sweet amphibious assault on a foritified island
Manila (1945): Americans. Urban combat
Makes me want to learn how to mod!

Jungle maps would get pretty boring after a while, we need 1 or 2 more city maps and some barren desert island maps. Also want to see some maps with interesting geographic features like mountains.
Russia vs Japan would be awesome. As for other maps, I would like to see very rainy and poor weather maps, like Okinawa. Would be nice to see some maps of the less known battles of the pacific, like some Australian and British troops, although this would likely require a lot of work. Tarawa would be good to see as well.
