During the final beta phase I was playing on Apartments, Assault class and was aiding a push on the Propaganda house. We fight our way in through the basement and once on the ground floor, I gun down an Axis trooper coming down the stairs. I rush up the stairs in time to see another Axis Assault trooper run into one of the upstairs rooms, so I try to toss a grenade into the room after him. Only the grenade bounces off of the door jam. I stand there for a moment, with that total "I'm one dead dumbass" feeling. I shake it off and hit the deck, hoping that getting low will keep me from fragging myself, when I see that Assault trooper come sauntering back out the doorway, where he stops right on top of the grenade before taking aim at me. The grenade goes off, blowing him to pieces, and I take a little bit of shrapnel in the arm. That total reversal of fortune had me laughing for a moment or two.
Another was one of my first forays into the Anti-Tank class on Red October Factory. Once again I'm playing Allies, and we're going after the first objective. An Axis PzIV pops our armor and rolls into a position to suppress our infantry charges from enfilade. So I turn towards him and hit prone, then take a shot at the hull MG position, hoping to kill the gunner. I apparently succeeded in taking out the gunner because the tanks next move is to come bearing down on me, to grind me beneath his treads. This whole engagement is taking place at about 15 meters, just so you guys know. Anyway, he pops up an embankment while powering towards me, exposing his bottom. I panic fire the remaining contents of my AT rifle's magazine into his underside and blow him sky high at point blank range. That was my first PzIV kill with an AT rifle, and probably the biggest rush I've had in just about any game ever. I laughed pretty hard on that one too.
