Fun create-a-perk thread.

While this is inspired by a thread in the Ideas section, which was a serious suggestion for implementation, this is more a fun thread devoted to what kind of perk you'd create.

Let's say you get 18 points.

Each perk has it's unique abilities, and each level is stronger than the last. For example, Commando can detect cloaked stalkers/patriarch at 8 metres at rank 1, and 16 metres at rank 6.

This rank 1 bonus would be worth 1 point, and the rank 6 bonus worth 6 points.

You can mix and match perk bonuses to make your personal perk. :D

However you can only choose a total of 4 bonuses.

Like i said earlier, this is supposed to be a fun thing; not necessarily too much about balance and stuff.

This doesn't need rank 1 - 6 if you are only allowed to have 3 as you will be forced to 3 level 6 perks. :p

Anyway, mine would be.

Level 6 Sharpshooter +60% damage with 9mm/Handcannon/Rifle/Crossbow/M14 (that should outscale +50% headshot damage?)
Level 6 Berserker +100% melee damage
Level 6 Field Medic +75% better Body Armour.

Katana + Crossbow!

Anyway, mine would be.

Dude, you'd want the headshot damage for that, not just the regular damage boost. :D

I'd make a perk called The Carnie.

Give him throwing knives, acid spritzer, gag weapons... basically just make him The Joker. :D

I'm going to post my one now, with the current version of the OP.

L6 Medic armour.
L5 Firebug fire resistance.
L4 Firebug fire damage.
L3 Sharpshooter headshot damage.

Not sure of a name, but this was an intersting experiment.

This would make pre-Incendiary Firebug powerful, though lacking in the extra ammo for the FT; this is made up for by the now-useful 9mm.

This would have the side-effect of making post-Incendiary Firebug even more powerful, with a pretty good Mac/Xbow combo making Firebug viable to solo everything easily.

I might want to reiterate the fun side of the thread; don't take this too seriously :p

Yeah, but let's say my headshot does 1000 damage and I get +60% damage it would be 1600 and higher damage for non-headshots while with +50% headshot damage it would only be 1500?

Mine would be...

Level 6 medic speed
Level 5 Ak/Scar/bullpup Damage
Level 5 Melee damage
Level 2 Melee swing

Idea behind this is how I used to play Commando pre any content patch.

Used to run bullpup and chainsaw. Bullpup for the small bits, saw for the big bits. Can still kind of run that style now, but it takes a bit more finesse to do it, and you need the zerker or medic speed.

So I would call this perk, "Commando who drank too much coffee" :p

The Trader Class:

You have to make your way between trader rooms in a given amount of time. Then set up your shop before the players get to you.

Maybe you could have it where you can go out of the shop (like you work for the trader) to provide small weapons and ammo to players during combat (for a certain cost)

But then that brings up a whole new class

The Ammo Carrier (Or something) Class:
Provides Temperoary armour, ammo, and weapon upgrades for players during the combat time. the catch is you have to keep going back to the trader after every person you help upgrade
