Im hosting my server using the method of Steamcmd.exe (installed separately from Steam) and do it - if i am right it is what i think it is - dedicated. I can join fine. If I invite my friends in it, they say they cannot connect. They tried it with open IP already.

My windows firewall is ON and Killing Floor is allowed in the exception list. Not sure if it counts towards the server executable. Guess I have to try it.

Connection type: Home.

My connection setup is without the router. I am connected directly to my modem.

I talked to my ISP about this issue and they said, they don't have anything regarding so-to-say ports to lock or unlock. So ports can't be the issue.

Perhaps I have some settings to apply too. Unfortunately I registered with steamcmd.exe using my primary account details, when it was advised to use a different one.

Take additional note, that a torrent program of mine works, as it should without applying any settings after installation. That confirms, that there are no ports hindering it.

If it helps, here is my serverlauncher in .bat format and my killingfloor.ini
KF_Server_Launcher.bat
Spoiler!

KillingFloor.ini

Torrent clients use a lot of ports, I'd turn it off completely to see how it goes

Totally unrelated but you can specify your mutators in a single Mutator= iteration, eg. Mutators=KFPatHPLeft.KFPatHPLeft,KFDamagePop up.KFDamagePopup

You don't need to have them in ServerPackages=, and MutKFAntiBlockr is builtin the game since last year or so. That won't solve your issue but, the cleaner it is, the easier it is to troubleshoot.

Did you try to disable windows firewall in case something was not set correctly? Did you try to add your server to a game spying website like GameTracker to see if the website can contact your IP:pORT? did your friends tried to ping your IP?

I don't know if this was a copy/paste issue, but there's spaces in the port=(and a few other spots).
Code:
MasterServerList=(Address="207.135.144.10",Port=28 902)
MasterServerList=(Address="207.135.144.11",Port=28 902)
You have a couple of mutators in there, but no file redirect in the killingfloor.ini. Noone will be able to download the Circus Zeds and I assume the DamagePopup.
Code:
RedirectToURL=

Your modem is acting like a router and thus you will need to login to the modems configuration page to forward the correct ports to your LAN IP.

Additionally you'll need to make sure you are giving your friends the WAN IP and not the LAN IP.

Can you post your WAN IP here and I will test it on my end to see if the server is visible on the Internet.

Copy/paste issue. There are no spaces in my KF ini. And what do I do with redirecttoURL and the circus zeds then?

I have a very strange type of modem. The only settings I can configure with my modem is connection type only (2G, 3G, LTE 4G) I don't think opening ports is my way to go because i've been told by my ISP, that they can't (un)lock ports. + Bittorrent reports positively about nothing hindering my connections = is working as it should. Usually I used to have problems with ports and Bittorrent earlier...

I may have to try other games and applications to host yet. Killing Floor is giving me the problems even on LAN.
