0%FF ahould be on the majority of servers.

When people want to play seriously though, I like mirrored FFto encourage people to play more carefully, even if it does accidently get me killed at times "HE'S SURROUNDED, CHUCK A GRENADE!"
"Owaitaminute"

Also, makes for hilarious trolling when you stand on someone else's pipe and lure a FP over or soemthing xD

100% FF does more to balance the OP zerker than anything else. 100% FF should be on every single server.

The single best thing about FF is it gets rid of the stupid, egotistical player who wants to get every kill and show how much of a stud he is by fighting in 80 feet in front of the team and in front of three spawn points. That way, after he's burned through his armor in the first 30 seconds of the wave, the rest of the team can save his *** by blanketing him with gunfire and the bullets magically kill the bad guys while ignoring him. After he runs back, while screaming for the medic the entire time, he turns around and goes right back. You have no idea how much such a player annoys me. Hate those bastards that do that. And 75% of them are zerkers; 25% are support. They play in the most stupid, unrealistic, and careless way because they know the team will bail them out and the rounds downrange will safely ignore them.

I say put 100% FF on all servers. Why not just have an automatic rule than when a player does 300 damage or 4 kills, whichever comes first, he is automatically booted? Can't stop griefers though.

Mirrored FF or Traditional FF, either way, it manages to be a fantastic griefing tool.

I believe it's best off as a private option.

Yeah, yeah, you hate fragwhoring zerks. We get it. If there was a town inhabited by fragwhoring zerks, you would like to bomb it with napalm and watch them burn for a very long period of time due to their damage reduction. That would teach'em to steal your kills. Yeah.

Nope. I've stated many times, do search if you like, that I don't believe there is a such a thing as kill stealing. I believe in everyone shooting everything they can as far away as they can. But what I am talking about isn't KSing.

It is someone playing extremely recklessly and, in order for the team to survive, forcing the team to support that reckless behavior. Many zerkers, and the occasional support, will play way, way, WAY in front of the team to get every possible kill for them. The team, by default and for survival, are no longer playing the best strategy for the team and now, for survival have to pay attention to the yahoo a ways away and have to keep him alive. Because if that support or zerker dies, there goes one of, if not the, heavy hitter of the team and if it is a later wave, losing that perk will probably screw over the team.

So no, I don't care about the kills, but I care about that player basically holding the rest of the team hostage while he plays the game the ways HE wants to play.

I know I'm selectively quoting. But we're playing Killing Floor. The most realistic (pronounced "ral-istic") game ever.

I understand your point, but I think there is a line between specimens and a giant Patty and the selective effectiveness of an full drum of AA12 shells going around and through another player. :)

:D

It's like the solution to idiot teammates walking in front of you when you're demo. We get grenades that just warp through them. I totally get your point though. It is nice when a game is somewhat grounded in what's possible, to a degree. Story-wise, maybe not. Weapon-wise, I would love it.

100% of the damage from friendly fire is deflected back. Non demo get's their pipebomb set off while teams are standing near them: All you see is that person walking down the hall and then fly up into the air, gibbed and on fire

Just got done playing a game with a guy named Spock. We were playing bioticslab and staying at spawn. I was a sharpie and he was playing support. While I stayed back and maintained visual lock on the side corridors he would run up past the door on the left and shoot into the door and corridor on the far right. He'd take damage, run back for heals, then run back to the very front. I even told him that I wasn't able to go up there to heal him because I had maintain visual lock on the corridors. Wave 3 or 4, he was past the door shooting into the spawn point, when his health dropped to around 70. He was backing up and three gorefasts ran out of the side door and it was over faster than you can finish reading this sentence. Of course he immediately quit.

I was initially going to disagree with this, but after thinking about it, I like it. Some dude plays recklessly and the other players simply can't help him unless they have totally clear shots. And it stops the griefers as well. I like it.

what about the griefers who use that to kill you? they just get in front of your arrows, and your dead, easy.

If you have players that are willing to ignore the game just to intentionally jump in front of other players to take damage, then that specific game is screwed anyways.

I voted for no FF at all.

I joined a FF server some time ago and the game was going really well, nice team and everyone was playing their perks right, some idiot joins the server and wipes out half the team, so no I don't like FF servers, it ruined their game and mine, I have no time for people like that, they just **** me off.

what's your definition of a griefer than?
i'm guessing you've never admin'ed a FF server before.

Someone who's there just to annoy others. Not really, only ran a ETQW server for years. The problem with FF on KF is that FF isn't the default. Everyone is used to emptying full magazines into swarmed teammates and the bullets knowing where to cause damage automatically.

Traditional FF for LAN with friends!

It adds much deeper, more dynamic gameplay, we feel.

Maybe FF does to much damage with headshots compared to the body in KF, though. It should do more damage, of course, but being able to adjust/tweak the procentage to the head and other part of the hitbox, would be very nice touch.
