Re: Map Size

Have to agree with them being smallish in HoS.

Take for instance Grain Elevator. This map is really well done and creative with the unusual capping order and cutting off Allied reinforcements. I personally think it's very innovative and fresh, which actually turns a lot of people off because the map does make you uncomfortable and confused the first few times you play it.

That being said, I generally (pre-patch) play with 20-40 people and in such cases Grain Elevator really shines.

Playing constantly on full 64 player servers this weekend and the map feels like a load of garbage, which is really unfortunate. With 64 people the Axis can generally get no farther than B and possibly capping C once before they run out of reinforcements.

But with a smaller population there are lots of opportunities to flank and sneak which just aren't there when 32 enemies are watching every possible approach to the cap zone.

To some up:

Grain Elevator with 38 players? A SHINY DIAMOND

Grain Elevator with 64 players? A STEAMY PILE
