I think it is ok with the class names when there will be an option.
For me (and most other vets) the problem is the new smoke granade.
I really loved the idea of smokes, but the current implementation has to be improved.
E.g. I was playing Kransy yesterday, and smoke made it impossible to defend Garage and other ingame szenarios because you can't stop the enemy from capping (you can't see him for 1 minute.... then the cap is over)
The smoke is similar to arty, too much of it ruins the map.
So here the ideas for changes:
1.) Smoke should not be on all maps, only on maps with big open areas where it gives you an advantage for attacking.
2.) The smoke should last only 10-20 seconds, this would be enough for a well planned attack and prevent the map from smoke spawn (I have seen it a few times that there was 4 smokes active at the same time)
3.) limit the use of smokes like you limited the arty.
either make the smoke as a "pickup" for the commander and it "spawns" only 1 time in a minute or give the commander the smoke only the 5th or 10th time he dies. This would prevent a smoke spam from a continous dieing commander

4.) the option for the commander to choose between smoke and regular granades.
Remember, this are only some ideas which could be improved too, and the current implementation is a "first try" which should be really improved.
Yesterday i even heard of some vets who talked about making a mutator for ladder matches to stop the smoke spam
