I tried registering to see what maps where uploaded to the ftp. However I couldn't get past the question. I might just be dumb though.

Also the answer to the question are the words in quotes. Enter those words as the answer. Do not include the quotes in the answer.

Edit: Funny story I exceeded the maximum number of attempts. I was never a smart one.

I changed the maximum number of attempts to 15 from 5. Bots haven't figured it out in a few years now so I think I'll be okay.

I thought Adblock was blocking the box from popping up, then I thought maybe this guy is just crafty as hell and figured it out. Easily the most thought provoking anti-bot test I've ever seen.

Time to setup this redirect stuff, thanks again!

for some reason I can't get it to work, I added the path in my PCServer-KFEngine file "RedirectToURL=http://skillzservers.com/kf2-redirect/" and put the maps into the maps folder, even got the same name (exactly) but I keep getting the error "error opening file"

Getting the same issue aswell except for ONE map. I really don't want to burden OP cause hes done enough for us, but does anyone know what we're doing wrong?

Edit: Can I ask you Skillz what type of web server you're running and on what OS?

Is the names of the maps on the redirect and your server EXACTLY the same, And i mean everything caps, Non caps, dashes etc

It is yup. One of the first things I check for.

The server is running a version of Linux and the web server is apache.

This means the file names are case sensitive. If you're unsure then just upload the map(s) or file(s) you need redirected to the server. I've got plenty of space.

I don't have the game nor do I host a server for KF2 yet (waiting on Linux to get released for it) so I can't really go through the process myself to see what it takes. Sorry.

Just make sure you're restarting the server after every change. Also make sure it has the trailing / at the end of the URL.

stupid question, but to i have to download the map files and put them in my maps folder in addition to adding the redirect server and manually add the maps in the KFGame.ini?

I think so, yes.

The maps need to be on the redirect AND on the game server. As for editing the INI I'm not 100% for sure on that as I haven't done it, but I believe they need to be added to the INI for them to show up/rotate on the server.

ah ok, i got it working, now to wait for the issue where you have to keep clicking on ok for downloading the map ingame >.<

The issue was on my end. Having a clean install of killing floor (not the server) fixed redirection. Thanks again for doing this Skillz.

I don't mean to sound cheeky but is there any chance of adding the latest versions of kf-subcentral & kf-pckoutpost (in lower case) to your server?
