What is the best key to use with fraps for recording?

standart f9 works well normally as long as theres no quickload or something on it^^

I use 7 on the keypad for movies and 9 on the keypad for screenshots.

but when you need to quickly record a good scene ,the key 7 is quiet far,isn't there a faster way to record ?

Here fraps just waste my fps into oblivion... i tried one called playclaw and it worked way better.

For the question, i think keys like Insert or Scroll Lock works pretty well because they are not normally used on any game.

I use "scroll lock" for fraps, for two reasons:

1) It's never ever used by any game.
2) The scroll lock light on my keyboard now works as a "rec" light

Have mine on "numlock"
