Wipe your RedOrchestra2 folder in "My Documents", start RO2 (NOT the beta) reapply your settings and check if that helps.
Also, did you define any profile in your gfx driver for the beta only and not for the retail or vice versa?

Your CPU, GFX card and OS are not helping you.
I'd say that too but he's had a perf drop SINCE the patch...,

Maybe you should delete your config folder and let RO2 generate it again?
Did you remember to reapply all your tweeks?

Anyway you think youve got problems..., my rig is worse than OP's.

AMD 64X2 +4200 (2.21ghz)
2GB DDR2 RAM
Nvidia 8800GTX
Win7 ultimate

I have to sit in a corner of the map while arty rains down as its a slideshow, i hope my performance doesnt drop like yours, it would be literally unplayable.

Not whining at TWI i know my rig is crap and i never expected to play this game tbh but with everything on low its a passable 20fps at best and 9-10fps worst.

I strongly suggest people delete the contents of the RO2 folder in My Docs > My Games and set up their setting from scratch. Save the ROInput.ini file to save having to set up your controls again.. but delete the rest.

Basically UnrealTournament engine 3 is crap.

Look at the UE3 forums.

You will probably find it is not TW's fault.

And straycat, how much tweaking did you do in your BIOS settings?
Having one BIOS setting wrong can have a giant impact on performance.

My "olde" system:
Phenom (Phenom 1) X3 8750BE (2,8GHz)
Asus M3A78
4 GB PC6400 (800MHz)
HD 4890 1 GB
Antec Truepower TP-650W
Winblows 7 (64b) Ultimate

And I only drop below 30 fps when arty is used. Most of the time I have 40+ fps

Yup im not surprised of his poor to no performance his cpu is a joke at best sorry but its true that thing can hardly keep up with this game.
Does no one read the entire OP before posting these days? He had good performance before, and now it's not good. Why are you even bringing up the processor? It worked, now it doesn't.

That is not my point im talking about his processor not the game now sorry again i apologise.

I recently got a cheap I5 and it works flawlessly.

Just trying to point out his processor is complete bottleneck not just for this title for many.

I don't get it! My processor is dual 2.3 GHz and it runs fine. My graphics card is a nVidia laptop one from about 2007 (i have a touchscreen computer not at all meant for gaming). 4GB RAM.

However mine on medium to high runs 60-80 fps. I've not even run it with the new patch yet either!

Maybe my computer is magic. Either way I can't see any problems with my performance, 60-80 fps is perfectly fine for me :D

I'm not in the mood of complaining, really.
Still, haven't noticed improvements in fps after the patch.

My setup:
Intel i7 870 @2,93 Ghz
6 Gb RAM
Nvidia GTX 460
Windows 7 64 bit

Well, i'm running the game at about 45 fps.
55 when i'm lucky - few objects on the screen, no arty, no movements and so on.
Under 30 in some cases (arty strike, lot of guys running around and so on).

Weird, i have like a 10 fps difference between ULTRA & LOW video settings. Is that normal?

Anyone with a similar setup? And how many FPS you get?

The new patch ruined it.
Getting crappy performance again.
This is my PC:

AMD Athlon Dual 2.6GHz
4GB RAM
GF GTX465 1GB
Vista 32

Must be something sound or CPU related.
I would like to point out again:
The latest BETA runs flawlessly, just started it to verify. But the latest retail patch runs just as crappy as last weeks.
I am quite angry now. Was looking forward to play this game smooth finally.

Delete all your ini files. That often does magic after every patch.
Have you ever considered overclocking your cpu? That will do some magic too :)

And last, try to defrag your hdd and update all your drivers.... :D :D
Sorry!

That's hardly an excuse for TI to reduce performance in a patch...

Now quite true, if they have optimized the amount of traffic flow to stop stuttering then slower processors are actually going to suffer whilst normal and faster ones are gonna pass on the benefit

If you guys do delete your ROengine file

In the new one search GameVersion and change it to 1.0.0.7

If you don't do this for some strange reason you want get a full server list in the server browser.

Open taskmanager set priority to HIGH.
Install and use Gamebooster.
After doing some manual settings in gamebooster it speeds up performance by 42% on my comp. I can't live without it.
(not meaning I get fps increase by 42% but it sure does improve smoothness).

I still get my standard 65 FPS, which is fine for me. I noticed a LOT more people were using a mic last night, and they sounded clear. The only thing hurting the game was a handful of players with TERRIBLE pings who insisted on being in that server. You could tell who they were by the terrible stuttering they did.
