FPS in the beta...

Same specs as before, of course.... but somehow I tweaked something and I can finally play pretty smoothly with most of my settings set to ultra-high or high.

And i get 30fps steady while recording and 35 when playing maxed out so no problem at all for me and playing with 30 FPS feels like playing with 60 FPS with some settings on normal so this is the only game where i don't notice a difference between 30 and 60 fps.

(I expected about 10 FPS when I first started the game)

I play at 1440 x 900 resolution with ultra settings and I have no graphical hitches, not checked my average FPS but whatever it is my eyes cannot see any hitches.

Is there a console command to show FPS?

EDIT: I should probably add I don't use bloom (didn't take this off for performance, just don't like it) and I also have ambient occlusion turned off. Post processing is on enhanced (I think it said enhanced if not advanced) and Im on the second highets AA level.

If you are getting low FPS then the simple solution is to adjust your graphic settings. Each game is different on what it requires to run certain settings.

And not running very smooth! Even when i adjust my graphics! Other games works perfect!

Ultra setting @ 1680 X 1050 with hardware PhysX on I get 65 - 70 FPS. The GPUs are running at 40% to 50% usage so yea this game can be optimized more but currently I have no issues running maxed out.

p.s. My rig runs Crysis 2 in DX11 at 100 FPS so I should be getting more in FPS RO2. This is still the beta version so lets hope it can be optimized in the future.

It runs the game okay, but it stutters alot at times.

This is probably due to the erratic GPU usage I get. I can't get above 80% usage, while mostly it hovers around 60-70. This is with everything on Ultra, though SSAO off, AA toned down a notch, and shdawos on high.

I wish I could get it to run at a ssteady 100%. This will undoubtly net me some more fps, and will also keep the game from stuttering.

My CPU also runs at only about 15%

im running it everything on ultra have the post processing on normal not war movie

it runs fine unless I am looking down a long field or something

it probably needs some ATI optimizing seems all the nvidia people are running fine

Ambient Occlusion TURN OFF

This was killing my FPS. Default it is OFF, if you turn it on, you have to manually turn it back off, applying a preset will not turn it back off.

Hmm.. I have a very similar system. Just not the q9600. Got the Q6600 (@3GHz) + GTX285 + 4GB Ram. And I have to play a mix of low & medium

Im getting 50-60fps average on high/ultra. It dips down to 30fps some times a little lower but rarely to 26fps when 32 people are leaving spawn. The weird thing is that unlike arma2 my cpu doesnt get very hot in this game. Game does seem to be cpu extensive though, especially in large servers.

I'd kill for a performance report from someone with a dual core thats less than 3 ghz, but with a decent graphics card (so I know its not an issue).

Because I have a 2.8 ghz dual core but a GTX 260.

This is because the Q9600 has a more efficient architecture and the chipset on the motherboard is probably better to support the chip. I used to know some scaling theory but I think the Q6600 needs an extra 100-200 Mhz additional to compare to a Q9600 at 3.0Ghz.

indeed it is. 1055t@ 4ghz, gtx 460 oc'd, corsair 4gb ddr3 ram.

1920*1080, med settings, 66 fps solid. i wish i could hold 60 on high
