FP decapitation problem with chainsaw

The fp doesn't decapitate half the time even though I aim right for the head. Is there a specific area of the head I need to aim at? Or is it just random chance that his head will pop off.

He seems immune as long as he is not facing you and doing his melee animation (but I have also seen him being decapitated from range so it seems there are more variables invloved)

Yes. He will bend his head forward just before he slice you up. Aim for the top is head when he does that emote. I am sure i've seen a link to a video that show this pretty well - use search.

It will pop every time as long as you time your attack correct and hit the correct spot.

If he is enraged, and you play on harder difficult settings, you will be hit even after he is decapitated. If you dont have full health and some armor he might very well kill you even after you decapitate him if you are a non-berserker.

Make sure you're not on a slope when you do it. And make sure you don't do him too much damage in case it doesn't work. It's not good to accidentally enrage him.

Here's the guide to decap a coffee cup, eh, sorry, fp )
1. DO NOT attack him, walk right in from of him
2. Point the chainsaw a little upper, right into his face, press LMB
3. ???
4. Profit

Step three is always the same, it's "question mark". You have to say it aloud three times for your plan to work.
