Forum Overhaul has been completed

We have successfully brought over the database from the old forums into our new forum software. Please let us know if you run into any issues using the new site.

Some cool things to note about the new software:
  • You can start an account with many different types of connected accounts (Such as Steam and Discord)
    • This means you can also connect these accounts to your existing account and use that to log in
  • There are many new features to make use of (and we'll be adding some more over time) such as Question and Answer threads, and News highlights
  • This fixes a bunch of back end forum issues you may have encountered (hopefully not)
  • You can 2 factor your account (security!)
  • We have 4 awesome themes for you to choose from (Default TW, RO, KF and Maneater)! Pick your favorite in the bottom left today - And vote in our poll: https://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/index.php?threads/which-is-your-favorite-forum-theme.2334642/
  • And much much more!
  • Including the upcoming Wiki use of your Tripwire Forum account.

Definitely enjoying the new look, especially with the RO style.
Aside from getting notifications by manually pressing the "watch" button for forums & sub-forums, is there any way to view the newest post/thread like we used to be able to? It's no longer there in the header for each sub-forum, just the "More" button. Kind of annoying to have to manually check each and every sub-forum to see if there is a new post. I for one don't want to use the watch feature for most forums & sub-forums. As getting a notification for every single update on that particular forum would end up racking up an absurd amount of notifications. Would really like said feature back if possible.

That is not a default feature of the new forum software. The methodology for finding new posts is to use the sidebar on the left to see what's happened since you've been gone.

But on that note I'll reach out to the partner that helped us set up our current themes and see if there is anything we can do.

Get used to it this is how it works, did you try? See the options available, you can watch THREADS or messages, this way you can get only one notification for new thread only.

It is different than the old way of visually seeing all forums and sub forums, but in the end it is maybe better you have all notifications for new threads of forums you want to watch in one same place.

edit: by the way there is a problem with signature, bbcode is not allowed..

a simple image as you can see in my current signature it removes bbcode tags.

edit: and now tags stayed, I don't get it but OK.

Guess I also have to manually watch this thread too, despite commenting in it. An automatic feature of alerting you after commenting on a thread has a new post on it would be nice (like the previous forums). Not digging the do everything manually "option". Definitely good for some areas, not so much for other areas.
And yes I did, as I specifically mentioned it. The problem I have is in order to figure out where the most recent thread is I have to turn on notifications for that sub-forum for new threads, which again like I said racks up alerts.

forum allows only http or https links. that is not really a problem but links like the one in my server signature isn't working as a result it transform my link steam://connect/149.202.88.128:22571 to http://steam//connect/149.202.88.128:22571

I have no clickable button in reply box they all are greyed out and I can't use them. (edit: it was because of the bbcode toggle maybe, now I have them back)

edit 2: trying FTP link and it seems to work. not saying adding steam:// type links to whitelist is good just that it doesn't work.

Some forum theme images are hosted on external image service, like this one on IMGUR:

It would be better that you host your forum images, on the forum server. Maybe you did that to save bandwidth, I don't know, but seems bad practice to me in case the hosting website goes down all images hosted there for the forum will not work.
