Tripwire's not controlled by a big corporation like EA where every date is set in stone years before development is even started. They'll give you a date when it's ready, not give you a date and hope the game is good enough by then.

What the hell is this thread. It's just two god damn weeks extra before the full game arrives. Pre-order beta or no, you still would've bought the game eventually, so quit moping about how you were robbed or whatever. What's more, you also got 10% off, 20% if you owned RO1. Stop complaining about the loss of money, I'd say you got a pretty decent deal for the pre-order.
The beta date hasn't shifted anyway, and Ramm already said that they DO have a beta date planned, but they're not sharing it in case they have to change it again and cause another ****storm like this.
As for those two weeks, there's plenty of games to play and lots of things you can do in two weeks, so why not find something in that time? I'm spending those two weeks watching Band of Brothers, the Red Dwarf series, playing guitar, playing some other games, and starting college. Funfunfunfunfun. When I finally get bored, RO2 is released to save me. I'm a massive TWI/RO/KF fanboy myself, but I can live without them for a little while. Why can't you?

It's a bit wrong not letting people know a rough date for the beta test yet letting people buy the edition that lets you in to play it. For all we know it could be 2 days before launch, hardly worth the extra money.

Hi, im one of those who loves to make my own videos from the game, i just hope the game has a properly working demo recording system, as playing with fraps recording at the same time butchers the fun.
But people were playing it, and it spread through word of mouth. This game has that much money rolling in before anyone has played it (outside of lucky few)
And they often still complain, even though they know they paid for an unfinished game.
Just to clarify that theres no need for swearing other cursing. That you disagree is not my problem.

I find your down vote trolling a little bit pathetic. But okay as you get my point then why would you stumble the bad road instead of the good one after the infraction?
Talk about being caught between a rock and a hard place. I have seen so many people asking for ways to help TWI ("take my money, please"), and even (jokingly) offering to bribe people for Beta access. Added to that were the calls for more marketing etc.
So TWI gives us a way to do it. You can pre-order the normal version, or for a ten dollar bribe you'll get beta access before the game goes live plus some unlocks.
But now you're being hammered asking when that access will happen. Catch 22. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
Look on the bright side - for months people have been begging to play your game, now they are demanding it. Seems to me this can only be good for TWI and us fans, if we can just have patience with each other.
We gamers have to give TWI a break - they are not trying to screw us, we know that, so stop acting like they are. TWI on the other hand has to recognise that the desire to play this game increases exponentially as the ability to play it apporaches, and some of us go a little nuts because of it.
We all need to just count to ten... or maybe a hundred... and try not to lose our minds. I have my DDE, I know I will be playing the game sooner or later. Beta is a bonus, but even if it is only for a few days, who cares? The game got made and we'll be playing it, and I haven't been this excited about a game since BF2.
It's worth the wait.
