hello

plz iff our machine cant handle 64 slots dont do 64 slots server caz u are kiling the gameplay and ppl are quiting RO2 caz of it (mass lag and Huge ping etc)

servers like =7cav=, and others they need to get new cpus or make 32 mans servers!

ok i m from Slovenia Europe i have normaly in USA 150- 200 ping but 450 ping like i m playing in asia o_O?

and is not my pc that lag or ping
i have 10MB net and a

AMD phenon 2 X6 1550T
4 GB RAMS
Nvidia Geforce GTX 460 1GB

so is not my pc or my net


so plz ADMINS DO something or this game will day soon of lag
i love the game i dont wanna play on the lag servers or empty servers...

or meybe TWI do something :p

im still not convinced it isnt the game itself thats causeing it. rarely see a server under 100 ping even the servers that are 10 miles from my house.

its the game.

in fact the game performance during the beta with 64 players was what i could describe as flawless , both ping related and fps related. , it was running so well that you could actually lead and hit targets downrange without missing. Only issue was random crashes that happened like 20 minutes into every game.

Every time they patch the game they fix one thing and another breaks.
but ya it really has gone downhill performance wise since the beta

maybe it has somthing to do with the stats, i mean i know durring the beta they werent tracking the stats and it ran well with no ping problems it was only after they started the stat tracking we started seeing it get worse.

It's the game, I've been on a mission to find a perfect high slot server but they all suffer from the same problem, they can work perfectly for some time but suddenly the pings jump sky high.

Hope that is their priority in the fixing list

*FK*Infanterie realism server is my fave right now. 64 slot with amazing performance. There's always players commenting on how good a server it is.
Very good matches too. Long and bitter :)
Old Farts is also good especially since I am one myself.

Well we have a core i7 server with 12 gigs of ram and 64 slot was easy to run to start with now we have had to reduce to 54 slot but the pings are all still very good and again it runs better on one core than on them all..... its just a pity to have all the rest sitting idle lol

Ro1 was the same way...I got 60-70 ping to Texas on other games and on ro1 it was always 100 or higher

As a member of the 7cav let me say this:

1. Yes our CPU can run RO2 Just fine.
2. The issue has been with our server company and tripwire knows about it and is trying to fix the issue. We have been told that it is a coding issue!
3. For a server being dimed out we seem to be at max 24/7. So score board!

It has to be something with the game,I posted this elsewhere but I think it's worth bringing up in this thread—TWI's own server nicknamed "The Beast" is suffering from this problem before it reaches capacity at 64. At around 50/64 everyone on the server had 100+ pings.

It does have something to do with the game, or more accurately, the game engine, but its not only RO2 that suffers from these problems, other UT3 games had the same problems, here's a link i posted about a year and a half ago on the dedicated server forums, when i first heard that TWI were set on using 64 player server.
Server hardware is now a lot better than 2yr ago and TWI have made huge improvements since then, but the problems haven't been completely eliminated.
