One thing i think that would be a worthwhile detail to have is snow on which footprints/blood would be visible.

It would be a nice touch to be able to track someones movement in a winter based map with snow around by following their trails, etc. When they get wounded (but not killed) they might have a few drops of blood, etc in the snow aswell.

Also would just be a nice detail to see :).
