Because I autoselect, I usually play as a Russian in HOS and the German uniforms already blend in better, especially in shadows. Theres a few places on a couple of maps where germans are effectively invisible. Not taking anything away from your already great work guys, but it'd be helpful if the Russians also had better duds.

I would start working on it asap if someone were able to recommend me a good pattern to apply on the current Russian uniforms. ;)

The reason I started on Germans is because they had so many different camos to select from.

I'm going to try and increase the contrast to make it pop more. I'm not too happy with how it looks right now.

I would prefer Splintertarn for the german Hero winter skin only, before we have no new authentic player models for german Splintertarn uniforms (Luftwaffenfeld-Division and Zeltbahn like the german sniper model).


But the (SS) Erbsentarn uniforms looks very great in game. (Some player skins with Feldgreen trousers, maybe? Instead of full Erbsentarn? :D)

The Soviets didn't have much variety, or use it on common troops, but I can see it applying for some of the roles we currently have.

Will these new patterns just replace those already in game or be map specific? How will that work?

I love soviet leaf pattern camo (called as far I know Петруха - parsley's leaves) :)
They should work fine pretty soon since they are being integrated into dibbler's mutator! :D

The problem then is to get it whitelisted.
I understand but maybe you could relase separate version of mutator for beta tests. Maybe it would be whitelisted faster as a simpler piece of code. I don't know obviously status of whitelisting whole mutator by Tripwire. But I have to say: I am very impressed.

nice pistures. Maybe it is possible to add a more green version for the Russian winter skin.

Another problem right now is that Mosketo have only found a way to create "new" uniforms for the existing models. So we have the same models, just with some color changes. It help a lot to make the game much more interesting. But right now we have no new models to work with. And it doesn

It's based on temperature of the map, just one variable in the map editor. With RS the factions are actually listed in the editor.

Were the sounds I sent you any good?

I've often thought that there was something very wrong with the Russian textures in Red Orchestra II. Often the browns glow with some kind of inner-luminescence when the character is in shadow. I normally try and play as a German character because of this problem.

I just have to say that the speed and quality of which this project came together is beyond impressive. Moskeeto, Dibbler and any others involved all deserve a big pat on the back from TWI and this community.
