Google searching "nkvd uniform" gives me a lot of different results that aren't very consistent.

I am not sure how write it phonetic, but maybe it is something like "helmophone"?!. Possibly I am wrong as it can be more "straight" Polish word than Russian...A little offtopic, but what is the russian name of the soviet tank helmet?

IMO there was only one Commissar in a frontline unit who push them forward. Maybe he have some bodyguards arround him. He have the order to motivated the troops before an attack and have to punish every soldier who isn

A little offtopic, but what is the russian name of the soviet tank helmet? I read it somewhere in the forums, but couldn't find the thread. So I thought let's search again on google it will not take long...yeah. 100 pages where you can buy them only as "soviet tank helmet" etc. Didn't think this was so hard.

edit: I am pretty sure it was a thread about soviet headgear and the guy also talked about pilotkas and ushankas. And then there was a third russian word. Hmmm.
