Can someone confirm if the flamethrower detonates demo's explosives? I recall that being the case in KF1. I can't accurately tell if that's happening in KF2.

If you run Firebug with a flamethrower, and plant C4 as that perk, you can't detonate your own C4 by setting it on fire.

So it's probably quite unlikely that you could detonate someone else' C4 with your weapon.

Ah okay. Was this only an issue with FF on in KF1? Seems like you shouldn't have been able to detonate someone's nades, etc unless FF was on. Main reason I ask is because I was playing a game the other day where a demo complained that I was using the flamethrower around him. Maybe all that bright orange hurt his poor little eyes? Lol.

Explosives don't interact with ANYTHING but siren screams, which is a huge let down imo. I know it had it's frustrating sides but I still hope they've got something planned. Seems like they added better bouncing physics for grenades with the return of patty so there maybe there is some more where that came from.

That's why you kill the siren first. Then engage the FP

This occured in both FF and non-FF in KF1.

~signed a player who rarely played FF in KF1 yet was blown up by many FB's

It was an intentional synergy before wasn't it? Everyone could pile 'em up at FP's feet and you'd puff some flame on 'em to cause a big explosion. Did get people killed though, better that it's gone. If anyone should be able to control the detonations and combine them it should be the demo and his own explosives.

With the pubs I've seen it'd just be an avenue for TKing.

interesting, i played quite a bit and dont remember having seen that, maybe they didnt do it often, or was more popular somewhere else, it was more usual for me to see the owner fire it with the pistol.

about killing teammates, i did see a lot of that because you could make them explode before the usual "safe" range on proyectiles.

Oh well the worst part about demo was when you unloaded grenades on a FP and suddenly a half laggy husk ball breaks through the ranks from the back lines of an enclosed corridor and detonates whatever explosive is in your hand.

That made for some real random deaths...
