This is one of my major gripes left with RO2 in its current state. You can't lower the actual sensitivity below default settings. If you do, it just increases the distance you need to move the mouse before it snaps to other 5 pixels, instead of lowering down to 1 pixel accuracy. It really sucks especially on sniper rifles.

look for tweaking guides on ut3, RO2 works similar. I believe there are actually 2 settings for sensitivity rather than one. You might need to tweak with the other one.

Note as well that you should use your mouse at the highest dpi setting.

Interesting any command I can google?
Or do you mean the multiplicator for left right up down?

I remember for ut2k4 games, it used to be MouseSampleRate or something (you had to set it to 1/<your mouse refreshrate> for best effect). It's no longer present in UT3 games though.

Its a long while ago, but look for things talking about how to make your ut3 mouse react similar as a ut2k4 mouse.

@Proud_god afaik there is no mouse sample rate setting anymore, ut3 directly takes mouse input. Aka it now uses the exact same sample rate as your mouse got in windows.

DPI is kind of a gimick. You only really need enough so you don't skip pixels and even then its not a big deal imo. From what i've read, its (Monitor resolution width x 4) / (inches to turn 360 degree ingame) = minimum DPI to not skip a pixel. It doesn't do anything else. It can give you negative acceleration or lowers the max speed before it malfunctions if you set it too high for the mouse (pauses or doesn't give 1:1 response, so gets less accurate).

For RO2 I would try high DPI and see if it makes a difference with low FOV, if it doesn't I'd just use what you feel comfortable with in windows, or whatever you're used to. I like 400 but could go to 800, not much higher tho

I doubt twi will change things that are not broken and inherent to the ut3 engine.
What's not broken in it when the basic user who doesn't know about advanced tweaking like that is at a disadvantage and will be left with a bad feeling mouse?

Considering that every game on UE3 got the same problems with mouse input, I just think that it will be odd to expect that TWI is going to fix it. Especially when there are so many things still to fix.

Heck this issue even exists in UT2004/RO1 its just that most games don't allow you to zoom in 2.2 times with all weapons, which highlights the issue a bit more.

Definitely didn't exist in AA2. You could get pixel accuracy, it feels just so much smoother and natural even when in unzoomed view.

I have to agree with you, Leo. I work eight hours a day, fight traffic to get home, two hours of "me" time, forcing myself to call up a few girls I know so they don't lose interest, and looking forward to the weekends, which affords me a little more time - but I still don't want to use that time to Google for how to fix something that would be an easy fix on TWI's part. Yeah, back in my college days I wouldn't mind Googling for a fix to an .ini file and the like, but those days are over. It's all about simplicity now going forward.

The googling would have taken less time then typing up that post.

You're running around unzoomed all the time where everything appears smaller than it is on the screen, you get to a normal FOV when you click RMB... So no, it doesn't zoom

I took up the issue in this thread: http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showthread.php?t=71012

This issue has nothing to do with mouse dpi, but instead the minimal movement of aim allowed ingame which remains unchanged when you zoom in the picture.

And yes, this is a very annoying issue which desperately needs fixing. Add to this that it should be a relatively simple thing to fix and I cannot understand why TWI hasn't addressed this yet.
