first to fight is the name of a fps spin-off from the close combat series, i'm not saying it matters but i take it you are aware of this?

This was what i first thought about too when i read the title, i thought they were making a mod about American Marines from that game :p

Anyways, sounds good. I'm looking forward to it, but also: Warsaw Uprising would be amazing!

here to kill your monster
yeah, like i say i'm wondering if the team knows this - as it wasn't a very well known shooter.
Personally, i wouldn't want to risk associations with previous games, and i'd want a title that was unique to my mod.

The name comes from a rather famous poster.

We believe it's a good reference to how the war started with the September Campaign, and Polish troops continued fighting in foreign armies long after their own was defeated. We believe this outweighs a semi-obscure FPS spin-off of an admittedly well-known franchise.

Looks interesting. A lot of really nice mods coming out. I hope to play it one day.

I also thought it would be about the USMC as well, and remembered that game.

The FTF mod is on the lookout for talented members of the community to help our mod reach a release!.

Have you made levels for RO before that have got released and played by the community?
Have you modelled/Textured/Unwrapped for any mods before?
Have you any experience with unreal script or UDK/UE3 ?

The FTF team is looking for members to help us get our mod released. If you think you can contribute in any way please do not hesitate to PM me on these forums.

- Tim.

Update no2

Hey guys, a small update here to keep you interested while we are working on bigger things.

svMl9.jpg

The granat obronny wz. 33 or defensive grenade is the counter-part to the offensive(wz.24) grenade shown in the first update. The Polish grenade was designated as a defensive grenade as the blast radius of shrapnel often exceeded 100 metres and the grenade had to be thrown from a defensive position, such as a trench or from behind a wall. Two such grenades as well as two wz.24 offensive grenade were standard military equipment for all enlisted soldiers. This is the high-poly mesh that the game model will be baked from. Model by Tim270.

We are also showing the Granatnik wz.36, a grenade launcher. The Granatnik wz.36 was a Polish grenade launcher designed in originally in 1920 as "wz.30" and later modified in 1936, it has entered service in 1936 becoming standard grenade launcher of the Polish Army, it was still in use during the German invasion of Poland in 1939. Model by H1tman.
I would also like to ask anyone who thinks they can help the FTF mod to please PM me on these forums or our own. We are looking specifically for modellers and texture artists right now.

NOW I know what that thing is - I've seen a similar beast in use in bits of Stalingrad footage :)
