Mac-10 full auto headshot bursts for Bloats and Gorefasts
Won't the players be struggling with the recoil of the MAC-10? Even with burst rounds firing rate, it's still pretty high.

Its pretty tough yeah, and single shot will work on lower difficulties, but on HoE the MAC-10 doesn't have enough of a punch to decap most foes in 1. The main specimen you need it for is the Gorefast and that can take 2 or 3 headshots to decap due to his annoying head hitbox weaving.
Doing this on single shot is next to impossible. Its better to get used to burst fire headshots now than try and do it from scratch in HoE![]()
Well I don't know about that, but I just tap-spamming instead of auto. The recoil just irks me too much to use the full auto firing rate, so I strictly stick to the semi-automatic instead.
Despite my knowledge about Firebugs, I really need to level it up. It's sitting at level 0 LOLOL.
I don't know how to use it efficiently in a team. Everyone's killing everything they can see and I'm like, "Who am I supposed to kill / nerf again?".
Long story short, your main targets are groups of clots and crawlers. You also want to ignite and soften up Stalkers, Gorefasts and Sirens for the rest of your team to kill with ease, or have enough damage that you yourself can cut them down if your team is distracted.
I really like to play as a Firebug, the only problem is the ammo but you can buy aditional flamethrowers so its not the big deal.
Really nice guide dude, cheers.

The problem I have with firebug is you really can't use him as a "damage multiplier" because in pretty much every stock map (with a couple exception, such as icebreaker) you are better off quickly killing the zeds with other perks than being the assist-type player. Most of firebug's kills are crawlers/stalkers and decapitated close and gorefasts. You can't be much of a damage multiplier with zeds that spawn relatively close to you and other perks with weapons that can take them out so easily.
So basically in most circumstances the firebug becomes another trash killer, and I personally think the commando is almost always better at this role. Commando can take zeds out quicker assuming the player can aim moderately well and does so without blinding the entire team (the fire effects still block sharpshooters, even if you just tap mouse1). Of course you can stockpile flamers but the traders aren't always in convenient locations.
The first post's analysis is right on in theory, but unfortunately that's not how it usually winds up in reality.![]()
good luck with that playing in publics servers..
there is always a lv 2 support who loves steal your flametrower and burn himself
