Hey guys

I currently am in possesion of this finnish beauty=

m9127.jpg

This is my finnish nagant M91/27 Mine was built in 1933, and its serial number is 69806. It was made in tikka. It is not serial matched unfortunaly, and it has a russian Bolt.

The wood is in a good condition, the picture doesnt quite well show it, but the Metal is in excellent condition. My congrats to the amazing blueing skills of the finnish! I am a welder with knownledge of metalurgy and blueing, and its done extremely well!
It is also in WORKING order! Thank you belgian gun laws <3

now, i payed 200 euro for this. And i am proud of it. I know a finnish guy who's grandad fought in the winter and continuaation war, and who also used a M91/27 during its entire carreer. And he wants to buy it from me. How much should i ask him? How much is this rifle worth?

The guy has ****load of money, so i wont have hard feelings if i sell it high :p

You paid just about right. If the bore is great, you might add another 50-100€ to the prize. But why a Finnish guy wants to buy it from you? Or does he live in Belgium?

And sorry to nitpick - no offence mate - , but please don

The bore is in excellent condition. Long storage Finnish gungrease ftw! The rifling is in great condition

It can perfectly fire. The guy who wants to buy it, is also a professional shooter. He always went shooting with his Finnish nagant. Wich is a M91/28. That one is fully serial matched and he wants to stop shooting with it because he feels it is wearing the condition of the rifle down

He wants to buy mine because it issent a fully serial match. And his grandfather also fought with this kind of rifle. So if he wants to go shooting with a same kind of rifle. Thus in someway honouring it.

And yes he lives in Belgium. His Father remarried to a belgian and they moved to here when he was around 15 years old.

IN BELGIUM=

Any bolt action rifle designed before 1945 wich has ammo wich is no longer used by a military force as a STANDARD round is free to own in belgium free of license, in a operating condition.

There are some exeptions though, wich can be rather weird

For example, the Mosin nagant M91 and Dragoon/cossack rifle where free of license, also the 38 model carbine. but the M91/30 and M44 and 59 carbines where not. However a transit dragoon/30 model was free of license(Mine is like that, it has a hexagon reciever but the sights of a model 30)

Then you have the M48 mauser, the famous "Yugoslav mauser". Wich is yugoslavian version of the Belgian FN mauser Model 24 carbine. Because it is designed right after WW2 it is NOT allowed to own free license, despite it being rather simular to many FN model 24 mauser designs..

However it turns out that only M91/30 imported before october 2010 have been declared license-required.And some types of yugoslav mausers ARE free of license.....Now..things are...COMPLICATED AS FRAK. in those 2 occasions

This was partly done because before that, you needed a bad-*** high gun permit.

A research in black market showed that bolt action rifles of the great wars where the hugest types of weapons being bought and sold.

The guy offers me, to trade my Finnish M27 nagant...For his Lee enfield SMLE III. The rifle is in a pretty nice state and serial matched. Made in 1915
