Finally the gore you've all been waiting for

Glad to see the gore is still as detailed as ever, although it's a bit gutting the uniform remains intact after taking explosion damage.

Surely if you're losing arms and legs, you're going to see textiles ripped and shredded too - i'm not after nekkid soldiers, but some uniform damage would complete the look.

Would be nice indeed.
Just some decals like the current blood decals can fix that (or not?)

I think someone deliberately dismembered a fully intact corpse with some AT rifle or just a lot of bullets in one area, systematically aiming at the arms, legs & head.

If a female was trying to kill me, sorry.... but it's fair game.

I'm not going to risk my life and let a woman shoot the crap out of me due to some male honor or pride..... a human is a human and a human can kill another human just as easily using the same weapons. If the intent to kill exists, than game or not, you have the right to self-preservation.

In that situation, it doesn't matter if it's another man, a woman or a kid.... if your life is in danger, you have every right to defend yourself by any means neccesary.

What if it was a female player using a male model? Once you heard her voice on the chat, would you suddenly have problems taking her out in-game? (There are female players in RO don't forget)

I wouldn't...... and sorry, but that doesn't make me insane.

Disclaimer: I wouldn't purposely go out and kill or harm anybody in real life, be that male, female or child, nor would I suggest anybody doing this, but when it comes to you having the safety of your own life put at risk, it would be foolish to let yourself be killed or seriously harmed because your attacker is a female or a minor. There are consequences for every action and if they can't accept those consequences, then they shouldn't try and attack you. It's their life or yours, and in a video game like RO2, everybody is out to do the same thing, thus everybody is equal game.

Besides, if people knew you felt that way about attacking a female player model, then people will just start using all female player models against you and then you'd be kinda screwed

While I agree that it's best they're left out, as even German soldiers had difficulty stomaching the fact their enemy was using female soldiers, I would defend myself if I had to. That said, I would have much greater difficulty defending myself against a female assailant than a male, simply because I would be more prone to hesitating.

They have that weapon in their hand and they're on that battlefield for a reason and that's to kill you, not kiss you...... and if you can't take that shot without hesitation, than you shouldn't be in that uniform and deserve to die.

That might be one reason to use a female model but they might also appear smaller and thus give an advantage. The hit box could be the same but if they are smaller they can hide better. If it gives any advantage people will simply use the female model.

The only problem I see with female models are male players going OMGHOT over it. And I guess that they did not serve in same units as men, for obvious reasons, so they are better left out of the game.

The funny thing is whilst the real German soldiers had similar reservations initially particularly the tank crews who realised the 37mm AA batteries that had been firing at them were manned by women they didn't have a problem with the mass bombing of the city of Stalingrad that would of killed far more women/children. I suppose it just speaks to how we compartmentalize things. Dropping bombs is impersonal whilst shooting at close range or engaging in hand to hand fighting is extremely personal. Particularly unnerving if that woman is charging at you with a sharpened trench shovel in which case I think you wouldn't hesitate to shoot unless you were paralysed by fear.

What's sane about that? I don't feel bad about anything I "kill" in a videogame, no matter the gender or age, because those are NOT REAL persons. That statement is only slightly less insane than the complaint of many who found shooting dogs in CoD to be tougher than shooting people.
