I think I tried and nothing happened in multiplayer.
I remember many times when the guy was dying (staggering) and I put multiple rounds into him to no avail.
May be it was fixed

I only get the shorter versions and the gurgles, not those long screams or moans that draws out for what seems like a minute as they are dying and calling for their mommy. I vividly remember those from beta and made the fighting, especially the close combat encounters, very horrific.

I heard one cry out "mum"!!! and then some sobs and moans...

I've been mucking around with the sound channels.
Started with 32,(default) then moved up to 128, had a lot of stuttering, (not sure what is to blame, server/arty/with music ???)
Dropped down to 64 channels and seem to have found some stability.
I'm sticking with 64 for the time being.

X-Fi Gamer sound card.
W7 64 bit.
